Golden Hour Bar

Ellie was such a sweetheart and made sure we were well taken care of. We got to watch the infusion process and hang out at the bar for a few. First time here and an awesome experience.

The food/drinks were just ok. We will never go back simply because the band that was playing over happy hour (at 4pm) was annoyingly and excruciatingly LOUD that seriously hurt our ears it sounded like a band (with a drummer) that should be playing *outside or at a large concert venue or something, it just totally ruined our first and only visit here so we will just avoid this place! We had already sat down and ordered and then the loud drums started going off, otherwise if we hadn’t yet ordered we would have just immediately left. I think some of the service people working there were even having a hard time with how loud/disruptive the band was. Would I go back if it weren’t for the loud band playing, probably not.

I’m generally a fan of Golden Hour, but on this particular visit, I specifically came to seek out the Girl Dinner special. Salad, fries, AND an espresso martini for $28??? Really hope this stays on the menu because it is truly the perfect meal. Also, huge shoutout to Aria who was a phenomenal bartender and makes an incredible espresso martini.

Our bartender Ellie was excellent! Very knowledgeable on the cocktails & extremely friendly. The lobby atmosphere was lovely and food was good too. My husband and I had such a fun experience.

I came in recently for a quick bite… Annie’s service was exceptional! She was very knowledgeable about the menu, answering all of my questions with confidence, making it much easier to order. I ended up getting the lamb flat bread (phenomenal😋). Her fun personality coupled with her professionalism left me feeling satisfied. Will definitely be back!!

This is my second extensive stay with The Mining Exchange Hotel and frankly, I’m never disappointed so, it won’t be my last. Five stars as usual for me across the service, food, room, selection of drinks, and the historic but upscale atmosphere. The staff are a delight and there’s no other accommodation I can think of to highly recommend.

Such a great time sitting at the bar and listening to live music. The happy hour portions are big and their cocktails are delicious. Ellie and Ryan were wonderful behind the bar!
