Tim's Chrome Bar

📍 Gay bars in St. Louis

6.5

This establishment stands out for its retro-inspired ambiance, blending a nostalgic 70s aesthetic with a cozy, living-room-like vibe. The themed decor and attentive service create an engaging atmosphere, ideal for both socializing and enjoying creative cocktails. The menu offers solid food options, though pricing may occasionally feel steep for the portions served.

The bar excels in its immersive experience, from character-themed staff to stylish drink presentations, making it a memorable spot for gatherings. While the concept shines, some guests note that value for money could be refined, particularly with certain food and drink selections. Overall, it delivers a fun, well-curated environment for those seeking a unique night out.

This bar was so fun !! 70s themed and they played the PART - bar tenders dressed in character, themed drinks, perfect music vibes all around 👌 We went earlier in the evening so it was small groups conversing, no dancing or anything yet but the DJ was playing and we enjoyed the lights and the atmosphere. The food was good, we got a sandwich and a bowl and were not disappointed. The drink was cool - it was a gold dust spirit bottle for 2-3 servings which was kind of cool and fun! The art on the walls was awesome as well as the seating with the old couch and chairs with bookshelves and lamps, much like a living room, very cute and cozy. However it’s kind of good sized, with another room attached for seating and I think another bar. All together, super cute and would go back

Place looked really cool and the service was good but the prices are too high for what you’re getting. 18 dollars for nachos that were made wrong. 20 dollars for a double whiskey even though wasn’t close to a 2oz pour. Seems this place is trying to extract every dollar out of their guest instead of incentivizing return patronage. It was cool we went but won’t be back. Sad too because it’s such a cool concept.

If you want cold food and expensive drinks this is your spot. Got the flat bread with "melty cheese" which flavor was ok but cheese was just an unmelted piece of I assume kraft singles. The burger flavor was good but couldn't be bothered to toast the bun which was cold to the touch. Could be a top notch place but might need Jon Taffer to come check things out.

If you haven't been to Tim's Chrome Bar you need to fix that. It's the coolest place in the city for sure. From the cozy 70s decor to the super friendly staff, to the homemade Appetizers. What's not to LOVE!! We went there for there FREE sun bingo. Where you get 10 FREE rounds of bingo and a dauber. We picked the best seats in the house but I'm a little jealous I didn't pick a table because they had free visors that I swear I wore in 1985 at 6 flags lol. It instantly brought me back to my childhood. This is the perfect place to go and forget about all the world's problems and enjoy a night of fanominal hand made cocktails and a round of Bingo. Last but not least by winning you not only prove that your all that but you are also given a bag of chips proving that no one else can top you for the night. I can wait to be all that and a bag of chips next week, hopefully you'll all join me.

An amazing hidden gem! The whole place is 60s style furnishing and style, the food is really good and has big portions even though it’s a bit expensive. Like a nice retro version of a classic dive bar! Don’t sleep on Tims chrome bar 😎.
