I went to brunch with a group of friends. The experience was a lot of fun and the venue was very comfortable. There was outdoor heating and the space is well kept and clean. Splash made great drinks and the food for brunch was very good. Very well put together so the event was so much fun. Everyone is so kind and friendly.
Didn’t drink but the bartenders are very attentive and kind. The atmosphere is cool, fun and perfect for a chill night out. My first time coming and I saw the drag show. It was awesome! I made some new friends too
Came for drag brunch with the family and my girlfriend. It was a fun time. The food offered (tacos that day, I'm not sure if it is always the same or not) was fine. The beef was weirdly the worst meat. The pork was the best. Chicken was fine. Bar staff was super friendly and accommodating to some complicated requests I overheard. I was just drinking beer. The few mixed drinks our table got were a little weak at first, I recommend getting doubles if that is the route you take with your libations. Otherwise you'll just be drinking a fancy soda.
Came here to try and have a good time for my birthday but the bartender didn't allow me or my girlfriend to sit at the bar, stated someone else was sitting there, as soon as we got up different people came to get drinks and he didn't say a word to them sitting there. It felt targeted and overall disappointing since he only told us we couldn't sit there, and we were the only lesbians openly at the bar. Also drag shows never start on time, 10 pm online is actually 11 pm so be ready to be sitting around listening to music only 35+ aged people enjoy.
I wanted to like this place because it’s one of the only gays bars in town but it’s not a safe place. My friend and their other friend was roofied here a couple months back after talking to a man right in front of the bar, they had one drink but somehow blackout and felt abnormally sick for days after due to the nature of date rape drugs. My other friend went for drinks just two months ago, he had a verbal spat with his partner at the bar (this time was not a loud or belligerent spat it was happening between the two of them) other patrons sitting around them intervened with no information and tried to kick him out. He had agreed and as he was leaving the bouncer grabbed him and was pulling at his clothing almost ripping it scratching at his shoulder all to grab his partners charger that his partner had given him to charge his phone and get home. The bouncer did this without being asked by his partner, this was the bouncers own decision. This obviously further escalated the situation, (for reference my friend hers is 5’2) 5 other bouncers, at about 6ft and 2-3 patrons with no information came and decided to choke my friend from behind, punch him in the back of his head while he was being choked on the ground, drag him down the handicapped ramp cutting his hand open and leaving him with open wounds on his shoulders stomach and hands. A knife had somehow come out of the pockets of one of the bouncers and was on the floor. They threw all of the things in his backpack down the ramp. I mean I would go if you feel like being roofied. At this point you’re better off going to the brave bull. It’s a shitty neighborhood but the neighborhood doesn’t make the environment safer or enjoyable ♂️
i like this place a lot, but, the music is really bad most nights. dj mentl desperately needs a refresher on the music! its a lot of 2010s-2020s top 40s- cardi, dua, megan, nothing wrong with them but it's not giving gay bar music at all. i heard bass down low by dev 3 times in 1 night. i also hear rain on me & stupid love every single time im there. i NEED some more GAY iconic music- britney, kim petras, cobrah, miley cyrus, sophie, tove lo, ayesha erotica, slayyyter, chase icon, cascada, troye sivan, kesha, even some older stuff would be fun like diana ross, donna summer, madonna, janet jackson, whitney, abba... we were there for halloween the other day and die young by kesha came on and everyone started dancing, just for it to phase into another boring trap hip hop remix and we all stopped. please please please get some better music in here, i would love to actually feel it and dance and bring my friends with me 🙁 i know im not the only person that feels this way, i've been warned before coming here and continue to warn others the music is mid at best.
If you're looking for a place to go that is accepting and warm to people of ALL walks of life, not just LGBTQ+ but welcoming to ALL people; Splash is absolutely your place. It is first and foremost a LGBTQ+ location; but as long as you are a decent person and drama free: they will welcome you and treat you with respect! We have gone 2x. The 1st time was to see the Bungalow Bunnies burlesque troupe perform. It was such a fantastic show! They also had a food truck there that made decent food! Also, the drinks are of a decent price AND they don't skimp on the booze. The 2nd time we went, we went to have a drink while we waited for a friend. It was relaxing, not crowded, and the music was fun but not overly loud.
