Small neighborhood bar. I had great service and my time was calm and relaxing. I for sure will return. The bartender is welcoming and the bar is clean.
Arrived sometime after five on this Thursday night. The bar was half full and I was greeted by several patrons. The bartender was quick with a smile and a warm greeting. Pamela is not just beautiful but funny and warm. I ordered a Margarita andI that was a great choice. Atmosphere, comradeship I left feeling Good. If you are looking to unwind, meet some good people, good drinks, great service, I highly recommend ROYS. Very clean and sorry no pictures my camera is broke.
Love the new additions and cleanliness. My first visit Rhi was our bartender, great personality and prompt service, she makes everyone feel very comfortable and welcomed. My next visit Bev was our bartender and also was greeted with a smile and outstanding service. Will definitely be making Roy’s my home away from home!
Loved the little "dive bar"! Our bartender Cindy (i think was her name) was AWESOME! Dig the slot machines too! Won like 4 free drinks!
Alisha(Sugar) is the best bartender in Des Moines. The girls got class and is sexy as hell! I'll definitely be going back. They also serve Hamms, which is absolutely bitchin. Her husband is a lucky man.
Was worried when new folks took over that it would be over run with millinials with beards and trucker hats. But thank god that has not happened. They remodeled just enough. Still has the regular old crowd and can still play old country with out some idiot 20 something year old playing backstreet boys or jay z. Or playing spice girls calling it old skool. It is nice to know I can still enjoy a bar that has been around for a long time. Thank you for not changing it
From place nice crowd worth stopping and checking out. Like the bartender very friendly also a very friendly patrons, I will definitely go back.
