Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux - Montgomery Restaurant

Always a great time at Walk Ons! Definitely the place to be if you want some good cajun food but can’t take a trip to LA. We had the Catfish Orleans and the Boom Boom Shrimp. 10/10 for both! Both are great fried or blackened! We shared a cup of crawfish étouffée to have a little extra if we needed more after the Catfish Orleans. Everyone should try the Alligator Bites as a starter! Definitely an experience, and great flavor! And to end the night—beignets! We appreciated our server, Markia, who consistently checked on us and made sure everything got out to us in a timely manner and it was still HOT! Definitely a good date night!

At here a few weeks ago. Good service and nice atmosphere. I had catfish strips which were a bigger portion size than I expected. Strawberry lemonade was the best I’ve had.

Absolutely perfect place to watch whatever game/sporting event you are interested in! Plenty of tv’s (and they are super willing to change to the game of your choice). The food is absolutely delicious (it’s really, really good), and they have an amazingly abundant selection of beer! Prices are really good too. My one complaint is the bar staff. I came in on Saturday & Sunday and sat at the bar both days. On Saturday there were too guys, both acted like they were being forced to be there, getting them to refill your drink or place an order felt like it was such bother for them. I ordered the sliders, and asked for some mayo, and one guy brought me one packet of mayo for three sliders! On Sunday one of the two guys (Mike is his name) was there again, and I sat there for almost 10 minutes and he never once came over to give me a menu or take my drink order. Thankfully a young lady showed up and she was awesome, but the way Mike conducts himself at the bar is a shame, it was one the one negative during my experience (a pretty big one if you are sitting at the bar).

Sierra delivered an exceptional experience at Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux in Montgomery, Alabama. From the moment we were seated, she demonstrated professionalism, confidence, and a genuine enthusiasm for her work. She was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered thoughtful recommendations that elevated the entire dining experience. Her timing was flawless drinks stayed full, food arrived as ordered, and she checked in consistently to ensure everything met expectations. Even during what appeared to be a busy shift, Sierra maintained composure, efficiency, and a positive attitude that made our table feel like a priority. That level of service reflects both strong personal work ethic and leadership-level customer awareness. Sierra represents the standard any hospitality team should strive for. If you’re visiting Walk-On’s in Montgomery, ask for her by name. She sets the bar for what outstanding service should look like.

They have a great menu of lots of tasty southern and cajun dishes! The staff is always friendly and helpful. And the donut bread pudding is fantastic!

I recently came to walk Ons to celebrate a little something and had the BEST server. Her name was Madi and she was the sweetest. She made sure everything was up to par when it came to food and service. Checked on my table an adequate amount of times so if there was anything I needed she was on it! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was even better. The restaurant is great! But the server always makes the experience. Kudos to Madi! I will definitely be back.

Always a good experience. Always clean and food has never let us down in flavor and options. I love the Buffalo chicken burger with fries. It’s a double serving of chickenbrest with wing sauce. Always juicy and never dry… at least the past 3 times I ordered it. Buffalo Wild Wings has the same product but its a single and the 2 times I got it it was dry and flat. Definitely not the "same thing". BTW, It’s about the same price! My wife and I still enjoy BWW but it’s not the same game. Our waitress, Aysia D. Was very polite and had a genuine smile when she was talking to us this last trip. It’s so easy for the masses to write a bad report or complain but I believe this is an instance where praise is deserved. Great job Aysia and Walk On’s.
