We loved our experience at The Pour House, it is a great spot to visit. The atmosphere is moody, relaxing, and welcoming; making it a perfect place to unwind and catch a few drinks with friends or your partner. The mixologist was very kind, the drinks were well crafted and delicious. For anyone in Abilene looking for quality drinks and great service, The Pour House is definitely worth checking out. Looking forward to coming back soon for another drink.
Went with a friend and later returned with my Dad. Honestly don't go out for cocktails at all but for some reason there was a craving for a good cocktail. Friend ordered the "Coke-Tease" and despite the many ingredients used to create the drink he felt it wasn't all that good. There was an overpowering amount of Red Wine to the point he could only taste the wine when there's cinnamon and liqueur mixed in as well. I ordered the "Gin N' Juicebox" and I loved it. It was a very subtle drink not overpowering at all. There was a good mix of Cucumber/Orange/Lemon and Pineapple Liqueur and Macha Tea for that slightly bitter but complimentary flavors. Once you enter through those doors you pick up on the vibe immediately and you're very much welcomed. I came back for the Gin N' Juicebox and will be curious to try others. It was splendid.
This bar is so fun! I love their rotating seasonal drink menu. It's always fun to go and try new stuff there because the staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. If I don't like a drink they are always willing to offer up new ones based off of my tastes. They also are totally fine when I get my basic "go-to" drink. Love this place!
This might be THE place for some people, but it's not the ideal place for lounging and having a quiet relaxing cocktail. The look and feel of the interior decor says "sophisticated cocktail lounge", but the music and the bar tenders give off clubbing at Guitars and Cadillac vibes. I don't know if this place changed hands since it originally opened, but it is not the same. Last night there was a DJ playing music so loud the bartenders did not even get our drink orders correct. They made the saddest Old Fashioned for my husband, and an elderflower spritzer for me and my friend that was extremely disappointing. The bartender even tried to argue a little bit about how the drink was made. If you do not have the correct ingredients for a cocktail, don't say you can make it and then argue with your patrons. Not worth the money at all. The music was so loud that we had to sit in the resident lounge area of the Windsor building so we could talk and enjoy our mediocre drinks. This bar is for some people and that is awesome for you, I am happy you found your place in town. If you are looking for a classy, low key place for a relaxing cocktail, this is just not the place.
Pour house and Sway are incredible! The owners are so helpful and informative. I can tell they love making their business great. The food was light yet satisfying. It was so flavorful. The drinks are hand crafted and so good. We will be back.
Completely a hybrid environment. Mondays specials are drinks that begin with the letter M. Tuesdays has a signature drink menu. Wednesday is wine day. Busiest days, Friday and Saturday. You can bring your own food into establishment. To save the environment, they can use cans with lids cut off, cleaning them versus throwing massive waste away. But it's a very clean, nice place, the owner also has Sway a sandwich, wine establishment next door.
Oh. My. LANTA!! My girlfriend and I have been looking for gay friendly spaces, and we found it right in the heart of Abilene! They accept anyone and everyone, no matter your sexual orientation. Their cocktails are PHENOMENAL, and the presentation is *chefs kiss*. Love love LOVE this place! We met our first set of friends here!
