American Heroes & Brew

We hail from North Carolina and have had the pleasure of dining at AH&B twice in the past eight months during our visits. Each time, we arrived early for lunch and had an exceptional experience. The food was simply amazing, and we indulged in several items from the menu. During both visits, the owner engaged in friendly conversations with us, demonstrating his genuine passion for the business. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food, and the sports bar atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

WING REPORT: I like my wings naked, on the small side and a hair above Buffalo-spicy. If they offer flats-only, that’s a big plus. I appreciate being asked about ranch/blue cheese and prefer the blue cheese. I enjoy my wings best in a friendly sports bar with as many TVs as they can fit. I usually grab a spot at the bar. With that being said, I rate this establishment as following (out of 10): Wings: 5 Sauce: 9 Freshness: 4 Service: 7 Atmosphere: 9 Overall: 7

We decided to try this place since we were in the area. And I had the nacho fries with steak. My wife had the fish sandwich. The winner was the nacho fries.. The fish sandwich wasn't too bad. The service was really good as well. Even though this was a bar and grill we had our young nieces with us and they enjoyed it as well. I do recommend and if I was in the area I would be back.

American Heroes & Brew has become a staple in Carlsbad Village. I’ve gotten to know Billy and Dale over the years, and they’ve been a great addition to the community. Their hospitality sets the tone—warm, welcoming, and consistent across the entire team. The food speaks for itself. The Philly cheesesteak delivers bold beef flavor. The Juicy Lucy is a standout—something I haven’t seen elsewhere, but more burger joints should take notes. The chicken wings are some of the best around, juicy and full of flavor. Portions are generous, and everything is made from scratch. Breakfast is a much-needed addition to the neighborhood. A lot of spots miss the mark, but not here. If you're looking for quality food with real hospitality, this is the place.

First time trying this place and it had a cool atmosphere. The food was good but didn't blow me away. The Brooklyn with meatball is a large sandwich and the Nashville is plenty to fill you up. Note that these sandwiches don't come with fries and you need to order that separately. Might try this place again in the future.

The owner was very nice came out and said hello. We are both from the East Coast and he originally had a hard time finding some East Coast food so he nailed it with the Philly cheese the Hoboken and the other sandwiches. I’m totally impressed. Even the cheesecake is like from the East Coast so good food here come on back thank you Billy. It is dog friendly. They even had a hamburger and chicken on the Dog menu. It was fantastic. Great job guys. There is an outdoor patio for your dog as well.
