The Night Rider

Seems like a lovely, inclusive dive bar. I tried going for karaoke, but it ends at 1 AM. Google indicates that closing time is at 2 AM. From speaking with people present, they close at 1 AM on karaoke nights - which are Thursdays and Sundays. So definitely don’t show up for karaoke at 1230AM. The bartender was super helpful and cleared up their hours for me: they are closed Monday and Tuesday; open until 1 AM on Wednesday and Thursday; open til 2 AM on Friday and Saturday.

Not to quote Toby Keith, but I love this bar. They have karaoke on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. It's a great little spot with a warm and welcoming community.

The bartender saw me and immediately said "There's a 4 dollar cover." Nobody else in my group said they got charged a cover. It was very bizarre. The vibes were off. I bought one drink and probably won't come back.

Came for karaoke Sunday, a pitcher of beer costs $22, but one review said $7 a pitcher. Bartender said that's Wed special. Sound system was really good here, much better than Flex, but KJ started late, 9.25 instead of 9 pm. There's no organized rotation, so the faster you put your song in, the more you get to sing. The hosts were entertaining but should have spent more time organizing the rotation. The mic goes in and out, maybe I held it wrong. The crowd was really great, they sing along with you if they know the song. Bartenders were attentive and nice. We're impressed with the sound!

9 dollars for a a shot with a flys egg at the bottom is crazy. This was officially my last time giving yall a chance.

I'm traveling as a salesman. I was a bartender at a gaybar for 10 years. I have never met or dealt with someone as nasty as the female bartender tonight. There was cover for NOTHING and she was angry when we walked up. Highly recommend going to one of the many other places in Raleigh. Gay or straight.

Had a wonderful time, Halloween party that they put together... awesome. 10/29/22. Best dive bar in town, and I'm not just saying it, I had been looking for a low key Dive bar since 2005, had just about given up until I spotted The Night Rider/The Wicked Witch the many times that I drive by the place. Drinks are great, the vibe is even better. 6/15/24 Been a while since I been to the Night Rider, had a great time, music venue was great and the vibe was awesome. Best Dive bar in Raleigh, and I mean that. Love you Guys, Bartenders and staff, great job.
