Pain Away of Philly --- Chinese Medical Massage

Recently visited Pain Away of Philly Chinese Medical Massage, and overall, we had a great experience. The massages were excellent very thorough and relaxing. We both left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and noticeably better than when we arrived. The front desk staff was knowledgeable about the different massage options and helpful in explaining what to expect, which we appreciated. However, upon leaving, the interaction didn’t feel as warm or welcoming as it did at the beginning. That said, the quality of the massage itself was truly worth it, and we would definitely consider returning for the treatment experience alone.

I’ve been here several times now and each visit is always more amazing than the last. I have had chronic back pain for nearly a decade that hasn’t been fixed by western physical therapy, chiropractic, or medication. Traditional Chinese massage/tui na/moxibustion/cupping has been a godsend for my chronic pain. They always know exactly where to target. I also did a fully body lymphatic massage at pain away and I left feeling so much lighter. I actually weighed myself when I got home later in the evening and I lost 2 lbs! 😳 incredible detox. They also do amazing facial and scalp massage with Gua Sha. Couldn’t recommend them enough. Clean, cozy, great service, no weight. And most of all it’s so WARM inside. I cannot stand going to spas/massage and it’s cold inside? I love how Pain Away preserves the Chinese authenticity by healing in a warm environment. They are worth every penny.

Incredible massage! Great for folks looking for deep massage. They can be intense so adjust as needed (I asked for extra intense lol). This is not a spa - this is for people who have muscle pain, knots, etc and are looking for relief. Grin and bear it…. 1hr session is worth the money. Tip in cash! Amazing staff. Book online and you can select which areas of your body you want them to focus on.

I booked a couples massage with my boyfriend and we came here. It was our first massage and wow. They did such a great job! We didn't even need to tell them what points caused pain because they already knew. Each massage was tailored to our individual needs. Definitely will be coming back soon!

Pain Away had the massage exactly what I was looking for: very intense, very to the point. Sally, my massage therapist, was wonderful and kept checking in on me throughout my session. She found my tricky spot—my shoulders—and worked them as best she could in our time. It is the first time I've ever started to feel real relief because no one else has ever gotten as deep or to the root of the issue before. I was also offered warm water after, which was lovely and helps with aftercare. This is the place to go if you have any musculoskeletal issues and are not afraid to feel sore. I'll be coming back to work on my shoulders again—this is the place that can take care of it.

The establishment is no frills but very clean. My 90 minute massage was awesome! I’ve had a few days of relief from my sciatic pain. My only ding is that you are close enough to hear the next person over. My neighbor was making a lot of noises!

Pain Away is an amazing establishment. I’ve been a couple times and will continue going! Their website is easy to navigate and to schedule an appointment. Their space is neat, clean, and provides optimal privacy for treatments. The staff and specialist are so kind and amazing at what they do. I always feel that I am in safe hands at Pain Away!
