Larkspur Salon Spa

I’ve had bad experiences at this salon and will not return, though this issue was with one stylist only. I came in with waist-length, thick hair and asked for ONE INCH off the length with long blended layers and light face framing. I also provided an inspiration picture for the back. Unfortunately significantly more length was removed (about 5–6 inches), and my hair was heavily thinned out. The layers are not blended. Most of the density is now at the back of my head rather than in the length. The ends are extremely thin, the longest layer looks like a tail in a V-shape which was not what I requested. If you have very long or thick hair and want to preserve density and length, I would be cautious about booking with Stephanie for layering. The salon website even notes that she enjoys texturizing hair, and in my case it dramatically changed the density of my hair. She did not provide the haircut I requested. The salon owner did review my concerns and refunded the haircut, which I appreciate. However, that does not replace the disappointment of losing the thickness and length I had spent YEARS growing. Hair is very personal and I feel it’s important to share my experience.

I’ve been going to Larkspur for several years. Anna gives the absolute best shampoos and finishes with an extremely relaxing scalp and hand massage. She is very attentive to my idea of how I want my hair to look and then executes a custom cut that always turns out to be exactly what I want. The entire Larkspur’s staff is friendly, professional, patient and go out of their way to accommodate my crazy schedule. The staff and atmosphere at Larkspur know how to pamper and make you feel good about yourself as you walk out the door.

my husband has sent me her twice and I had a very nice experience and so I decided to send my mother here For a facial. Due to several unforeseen events in her life for the past year she was unable to go , but finally tried to make an appointment for herself today to get her well-deserved facial. Lakespur apparently decided that the gift certificate was expired. staff was very rude to my mother and provided no options to assist with the situation. Since I am the person that purchased the gift certificate I'd like to know if they plan to give me a refund?????

Larkspur Salon is an absolute GEM! The Aveda products and concept are extraordinary, particularly for color. The salon itself is beautiful and upscale. Every effort is made to personalize the experience. My stylist, Morgan, is beyond wonderful to work with for both cut and color. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place.

One of the best salons I have ever been to. Ashley is absolutely amazing! From the front staff to all the stylist! You always feel at home.

My mom and I booked our mani-pedis for my wedding here. I got Shellac and my mom got standard polish. Our techs were so personable and fun, we loved our appointment! My tech even mixed two colors together to give me the dark brown look I envisioned, I love how it turned out! My mom got silver finger nails to match her dress (with one nail sparkly) and sparkly toe nails--the sparkles being a suggestion from her tech for both the mani and pedi, which really captured my mom's spirit. My polish has held up flawlessly, letting me enjoy my nails on our honeymoon and beyond (19 days later--yes, I'm growing out lol). I've also been impressed with the follow-up; when we went home with goodie bags, there was an invitation inside from the manager to reach out with feedback, and I got an email requesting the same a few days ago. I really thought this salon was top notch. Stephanie was great, snd the manager Lauren was very understanding. But….. I’ve moved from NY, and these prices they charge are much to high for me. In NY I never ever paid what they charged me for a cut, color and blowout. And my hairdresser in NY was excellent. I’m sad to leave, but the prices are much to high for a single women on social security. I’m so disappointed,that it didn’t work out. Lauren was very understanding, and appreciated my honesty. In NY, I would be there for for a full color and cut and blowout for over 125.00 less.
