Came here on a lark to get some food and chill. Basically eat and do nothing, which was nice. Sat outside to veg out and had some food that hit the spot without any fluff or drama. Simple. Good. Easy. Waiter was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. Food came fast and we got drinks to go. Parking was easy, 4 feet away. Perfect spot if your hungry and dont have the energy to do anything but u still wanna go out.
Visiting from NY and so glad we found this spot! The food was great, but what really stood out was the owner, Alex. He was very sweet and professional when we addressed some hostile behavior we witnessed from another customer. It’s clear he cares about his locals and the neighborhood. We’ll certainly be returning on our next trip down south. Five stars!
My friends and I are so excited to return to our favorite pub on the Drive. We were thrilled to hear that the management has taken decisive action to address the disruptive and hostile behavior we’ve seen recently. Removing individuals who promote hate and harassment truly makes our community stronger and more welcoming. Thank you, Alex, for prioritizing a safe, inclusive environment for your patrons. Five stars well-deserved!
I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Pub's back bar and was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, Roger the bartender made me feel right at home with his warm demeanor and attentive service. The food at The Pub was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was bursting with fresh flavors and expertly prepared. The couple next to me indulged in some hot, large fried shrimp that were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The fried green beans were a delightful surprise, offering a crunchy texture and delicious flavor that they couldn't stop talking about. The atmosphere in the back bar was lively and inviting, with patrons around me adding to the overall enjoyment of the evening. My only complaint, if you can even call it that, was that everything was piping hot! But honestly, I'd much rather have my food too hot than not hot enough. My french onion soup was bursting with flavor. On point and not too salty (I was warned it might be for some). Overall, my experience at The Pub's back bar was exceptional, thanks in large part to Roger and the incredible culinary team. I can't wait to visit again soon.
Love The Pub. A definite must when visiting Wilton. The staff is always friendly with food and drinks to satisfy all tastes. Saw the show last night and the ladies did an awesome job. Great talent for sure. Check them out!
I liked the vibe and energy of this place, but I went for dinner and I have to be honest, the food was not good at all. I had the BLT on rye and the Mac & Cheese. Bread was paper thin. The lettuce was all wilted. The bacon was ridiculously over cooked and hard. And the tomato wasn't ripe; that too was hard. And all of this was slathered in mayo that was oozing out when I handled the sandwich. The whole presentation of this sandwich was disgusting. Because I was hungry, I ate the tomato and bacon separately with a few bites of the bread. The Mac & Cheese was warm to the touch, but still ice cold in the center. When I sent it back, the server disappeared for about 15-20 minutes. When he realized he had forgotten about it, he brought it back boiling hot; obviously left in the microwave too long. At that point, i just gave up and decided to pay and leave. I've heard mixed reviews about this place. Mine was a very disappointing experience. I may go back sometime in the future, but only for drinks in the bar, but never again for the food!
Do not come here for brunch. I ordered what they consider one of their "pub favorites", the Chicken and Waffle. It was the saddest excuse for a meal. The chicken was rubbery and there were no garnishments nor flavors to be found on the plate. The waiter never brought water, never brought ketchup or hot sauce for my husband who ordered and egg and cheese sandwich with home fries. The waiter kept apologizing for our experience so he even knew it wasn’t going well. Even paying the tab was causing an issue because we wanted to pay together.
