I have had issues with my ankles and feet for several years. I have visited 4 podiatrist and one other specialist. Shots, drugs and PT were the gameplan. I had some good success with PT but that did not eliminate the issues. So, I looked for other options and read about myofascial. And then started working with Michael. His approach of hands-on work, exercises and explaining how my posture was affecting how I walk and thus impacting my ankles/feet has been invaluable. We have seen great progress in two visits, much faster than what I saw after months of PT. His approach and passion for helping people gives me a confidence I am getting a solution for my issues, age and body type. He has also helped me with a hip mis-alignment issue, eliminating significant pain in two visits; pain I had for months. We are working on how these two issues are related and how to prevent re-occurrence of these two painful problems.

I was in tremendous pain when I met Michael. He asked questions to find the cause of the pain then proceeded to treat me. Throughout the session he explained what he was doing and why. His warm, friendly manner immediately put me at ease. I left with my pain greatly reduced and it continued to improve the next day. I can't recommend Release Works and Michael strongly enough.

I started working with Michael and Vanetta just under a year ago. I had developed pretty severe lower back pain and was getting frustrated by my limited mobility. They both worked with me intensely for the first 3 or 4 months, and in that time, I learned so much about the fascial system and how to self-treat along with their treatments. I had tried many other approaches, including purchasing new mattresses, going to various chiropractors, having numerous MRIs that showed nothing significant, and taking handfuls of ibuprofen. I believe what I learned from them, and later from Ash and Kassandra, was how to move in ways that support my body, rather than create collapse and tension. I'll never go anywhere now without one of my trusty balls. I haven't been to their clinic for several months because I'm doing really well, but I'm sure I'll need a tune-up soon. I understand that I may never be pain-free all the time, but now I know what I need to get there most days. Thank you Michael, Vanetta, Kassandra and Ash! You're amazing practitioners and teachers.

I may not have fully understood what Release Works specializes in or what "myofascial release" entails, but I came in expecting hands-on bodywork for relief. Instead, my session started with an extensive health history questionnaire and posture photos. While this thorough approach might appeal to some, it wasn’t what I had anticipated. The actual "myofascial release" portion of the session felt more like a mix of unusual body exercises and gentle movements rather than traditional bodywork. While the method might work for others, it didn’t align with my expectations. What really caught me off guard was the cost: $360 for less than two hours of time. On top of that, I was subjected to aggressive sales tactics for a program that reportedly costs upwards of $6,000. This kind of upselling feels like a red flag, especially when presented by someone in the role of an LMT rather than a medical professional. While the business may be a fit for those who understand and appreciate this approach, it ultimately wasn’t the right fit for me. I’d recommend doing thorough research to ensure their services align with your needs before booking.

Michael is a great MFR therapist, I have been working with him for about four months. He is very professional, knows and does his job so well. He knows the body and the mind very well and uses his intuition to do things I need, but maybe didn’t express it very clearly. My mobility, the way I feel and move has improved a lot, I feel like a totally new person. Thank you Michael Sudbury, you are a gift to this world!!

I just started seeing the therapists at Release Works about 2 weeks ago, and I'm already having amazing results. I have been dealing with some chronic pain off and on with no answers from my PT, chiropractor, acupuncturist or trainer. I have seriously been "trying it all" and am so grateful I called Release Works. Vanetta and David are both amazing - so caring, attentive and skilled. I am not over-exaggerating when I saw I have teared up twice since starting to work with them in gratitude for the work they do and the help they have given me. If you're experiencing pain, these are the therapists you need on your team!

Absolutely loved my sessions with Michael and Vanetta! I was so happy to find their clinic in Salt Lake. Pursuing a career in dance, I was terrified of potential injuries or imbalances and tightness in my body that could hinder my performance or longevity, and I am so thankful for the knowledge and work they did with me to help me not only heal, but continuously discover even more mobility and less pain in my dancing, which also means a longer lasting career! I would highly recommend Release Works to anyone who wants to thrive and feel greater mobility, less pain, and especially to those wanting to maintain an active, healthy life style. I enjoy every session, because I come out not only knowing more about my body and what I need to improve on, but also feeling more mobile and connected! Love, love, love, thank you!
