GuadalaHARRY's Bar & Grill

I finally made it to the new GuadalaHARRY’s location in downtown Conroe and WOWZA — what a great scene! The place is full of character and cool decor! GREAT atmosphere and so clean. The crab cakes and ceviche were absolutely fabulous (as always), and the service was excellent even with a packed house. What really stood out was Harry himself (the owner) — he’s everywhere, keeping a watchful eye to make sure every guest is being taken care of. You rarely see that kind of hands-on attention these days, and it truly takes the entire experience to the next level. Can’t wait to go back — Conroe’s got a real gem here!

Met Mr. Harry, so very nice. I loved the decor, looks like a place where you want to hang out. Music was good, but a bit loud for my mother. Perfect for me. She ordered seafood Gumbo Amazing rich roux, full of shrimp and crab. Perfect spice level. Strange it was served with tortilla chips on the side Seems like it should have been french bread?? I ordered crawfish etoufee....go get you some of that! Omg, best CE I've had in years. Not fishy, packed with crawfish, perfectly seasoned. Mr. Harry was so gracious he brought us a sample of the ceviche, its amazing, and the house chili. Both so so good. Highly recommend both! One small suggestion please change your pinot grigio selection (cupcake is terrible). Can't wait to return and try other things. My mom and I had a great lunch date right in the heart of Conroe. We will make this a regular visit.

Definitely cool vibes here. We went to the theater and met up with a friend here. Love the decor and sweet staff. I loved that they had live music and we enjoyed some drinks, fried pickles and cheese sticks. They were delicious! We’ll have to come back to actually try out their food lol

Came here with my family before seeing a show at the Crighton theater. We parked in the back lot then took the stairs to the 2nd floor. There was an event going on. I asked a waiter where we could sit or if the restaurant was closed for the event. He said that there’s no sitting unless we sit outside. We went outside (hot and humid) and then the owner (unbeknownst to us) came outside and asked how he could help us. We were googling other places in the area to eat. Harry himself walked us to the first floor restaurant which WAS open. He was very friendly and kind and took great care of us. Our waiter, Batman, was kind, attentive, and a good guy. We loved the shrimp ettoufee, seafood platter, and more. Felt like we were in NOLA. Towards the end of our dinner, there was a great pianist playing Jimmy Buffet songs. Had a great time here and would definitely come again!

Note:: location is now downtown Conroe, not on the lake. New location has a very cool lake/beach/fishing vibe, is very clean and has seating downstairs (bar or table) and upstairs (indoors or patio). Our party was upstairs indoors. Elevator located by rear parking lot entrance. We hosted our son’s wedding weekend welcome party here. Harry could not have been more accommodating, entertaining & we always knew thru the planning stages he would make it an awesome night - which it was. We had a buffet which was absolutely delicious, open bar that didn’t break the bank, and outstanding dedicated servers (which I wasn’t even expecting). I had many true Texans tell me it was the best fajita meat they had ever had & I would totally agree. The whole night was absolutely awesome! Thank you, Harry! And thank your chef & staff for knocking it out of the park!

The steak and Blackened seafood platter and home made lemon cheesecake were good with the comedy show, but came back Saturday to try the seafood gumbo.. and the roux didn't taste sea food because crab and shrimp are added on top after.. Not a fan of the crab cake that's just corn meal and no taste of crab. You do get a lot of fried mushrooms though but wish batter was more seasoned on them. Oh well we love the fact this place has entertainment so will be back to try to try the chili.

This place really has a lot of good things going on at once. Staff is super friendly. Tables were clean. We ate during the week and the music was very relaxing in kind of a blues/ country sort of way. My wife and I definitely plan on coming back soon.
