I love coming here with my kids and wife. They have an awesome night that allows you to bowl as much as you want and the kids love to utilize that time to practice their skills. Brian always takes really good care of us and ensure the kids have a great experience. They have a great selection of beers(IPA) at the bar area and the crowd is always entertaining. I wouldn’t complain if they started to stock more IPA styles, such as Art Car. I’m glad they stuck around because I believe there was talk of them closing. Been coming here since I was a wee lad.

Had a great time. Place was super busy but in a good way. Had a dirty table to set my stuff up but Brian came over and cleaned everything up immediately without being asked. Much appreciated the assistance and making my visit a good one.

I usually love Pins & Wheels so when my birthday party got rained out, a few of us decided to go bowling instead. I brought my cake and P&W didn’t like that! No "celebratory food" is what their signs say. So that was a bummer but we were going to bowl anyway and eat it later. They insisted on putting my cake in their office while we bowled, like we were children that couldn’t be trusted. So we got a refund and took our business to Highland Lanes, which honestly has a better vibe, very old Austin (read: chill and friendly!). It’s not as loud as P&W, everyone is there to bowl, there aren’t kids running around, the food is good. And they didn’t mind that I brought my cake! Thanks for making my birthday a great one, Highland Lanes.

On Saturday at approximately 10:36 PM, my wife and I visited this bowling alley for the first time, hoping to enjoy a new experience together. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a fun night turned into a very disappointing and upsetting situation. Because we have basic English, we politely asked one of the employees if he spoke Spanish. It was our first time there, and we simply wanted to clearly understand everything so we could fully enjoy the experience. The employee did speak Spanish. However, instead of assisting us professionally, his response in English was: "If you want me to speak Spanish to you, you have to pay me. Otherwise, go back to Mexico and in Mexico I’ll speak Spanish." This comment was completely inappropriate, disrespectful, and offensive. At no point were we rude or demanding — we simply asked a question. Being told to "go back to Mexico" is unacceptable under any circumstance. We went there expecting respectful customer service. Instead, we left feeling humiliated and unwelcome. No customer should ever be treated this way for asking if someone speaks another language. I am sharing this so the community is aware of the treatment we experienced on Saturday night. I sincerely hope management addresses this situation, because no one deserves to feel discriminated against while simply trying to enjoy a night out.

The lady in the bar seems that she wants to ruin the place sales. She was awful and disrespectful, talking to us all mean and throwing away our drinks, even though we have no minors in our table. She was just being an 4SS

I recently visited Highland Lanes in Austin, and I must say, it was an absolute blast! The pricing is quite reasonable with different rates depending on the time of day, making it accessible for everyone. I appreciated the hourly lane rental system, which was straightforward and allowed my friends and I to enjoy a good couple of hours of uninterrupted fun. The shoe rental at $4.25 was also a fair deal. The staff at Highland Lanes were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring our experience was smooth from start to finish. We also took advantage of the Sunday morning special, which included all-you-can-bowl for a very competitive price, adding even more value to our visit. The facility itself is well-maintained with a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for family outings or a fun night out with friends. A highlight was grabbing a bite at Lebowski’s Grill located inside the alley. The food was surprisingly good, offering a great selection to refuel and get back to the games. Whether you’re a serious bowler or just looking for a good time, Highland Lanes offers a great mix of fun, affordability, excellent service, and tasty eats at Lebowski’s Grill. Definitely a top spot for bowling and dining in Austin!

I’m from Austin but I’m at the point where I hope this place closes and a real bowling alley opens for the general public not some sweaty house pros. Leagues 7 nights of the week is criminal. As an avg joe I’ll never be able to play here again. Such a shame cause Lebowski grill is pretty fire.
