I AM Books

This bookshop was well curated for the North End. A good book selection, and bookshop recommendations that I agreed were great reads. A lot of cute gift/ collecting merchandise and art of pasta making methods and things. I enjoyed it, would certainly return.

One of the best indie bookstores I know, and there's so many! This one is unique from Brookline Booksmith and Papercuts though I love all three places. I Am Books has wonderful local merchandise and a wide away of interesting books that aren't overpriced as well as gift ideas and so many funny stickers for your laptop and water bottle. One of the best places for Boston or MA souvenirs. Definitely my favorite place for North End-specific souvenirs.

What a great Italian and English bookstore this is. Right in he heart of Little Italy in Boston on the north side. Enough titles to keep u reading for a whole year, and bargains to turn u into a bookworm during your vacation in Boston. Visit it.

I always think that a bookseller who knows their inventory is a true gem, and today I found gems at I AM books. I particularly came all the way from Fenway (where I am staying for only two days, I live in Maryland!) To see this bookstore that everyone wrote such beautiful reviews about, and what a delight it was for me to discover this beautiful Italian neighborhood in addition to that. I met Adele and Michela (apologies for misspellings in advance to both!) Who helped me find books from authors I loved and beyond, I asked them so many questions and they let me browse for so long, they didn't seem to mind my messy coat and bag (that I threw on the floor to get to books!) And they were beyond understanding and helpful when they found out I can't take back stuff with me and agreed to mail them to me. The selection is not huge but very decent, especially for lovers of Italian Literature, history and poetry. In addition to all of that there are so many types of cute stationary items, which in my opinion are rare in America (everyone seems to be happy with office max pens and paper, so apparently they don't need beautiful things to write with). Great kids selection, many souvenir type items! These guys even gave me suggestions about which Cafe to go to that's best for reading 😃 Cannot wait to go back sometime in the future!

This is a lovely bookstore and gift shop! There’s a good selection of books, plus a large selection of cute posters, bookmarks, and other gifts, including sardine pens and candles shaped like croissants and cannolis. It’s a fun place to browse, even if you’re not looking for books in particular. A good place to get fun gifts for people. I also recommend bringing quarters when visiting since they have a mystery print machine that takes four quarters and gives you a small photograph, but the bookstore staff does not use change.

A great little bookstore with some unique books on offer! Stop in and explode. Definitely get a sticker from the front!
