Brooklyn Video Games

Stopped into the store this past Saturday. The first thing that struck me about the store was the smell. It was quite awful. Smelled like body oder. The store was also quite dusty and dirty. Considering this store is selling retro games and consoles this was an immediate red flag and quite jarring. The man working the counter never looked up once or greeted us when we entered. Another red flag. Finally the prices: They're quite awful. $480 for a Gen 1 PS3? Quite absurd. $320 for an original transparent xbox wrapped in plastic? Baffling. A Nintendo 64 for $180? No thats thievery. Also in terrible condition. The game selection? Very poor overall. I highly doubt I'd return.

I bought a PS2 that was functional in the horizontal configuration but the disc tray wouldn't open in the vertical configuration. I went to return it, and despite a long and testy interaction, i was able to get my money back. It's all love though-- i'm sure it takes a lot of patience to work at a retro game shop. I'd still recommend this place.

Overall, I enjoyed my visit! They had a small selection, but it was all well curated. Be sure to check out the VHS tapes! They've got some good wrestling and anime deep cuts.

The staff was pleasant, but the store is VERY small. Not one you can get lost in. However, they had a nice variety. With stopping if you're in the area, but maybe don't make it a destination.

Came to the store to to sell smash bros and mhrise for the switch along with y's nox nostrum(both soundtrack and game in case) as well as a couple more PS4 games and a GameCube (with Spiderman in it) but I didn't have the power cord or controllers because someone gave it to me and a dualshock4 controller. When I get there the store is closed and no sign is on the door(dude went to get a sandwich) the clerk eventually comes back and I take out my stuff to sell dude looks at me and says he can give me $20 for all of the things listed because according to him the games were old and people don't play them anymore. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE HEARD SUCH A STATEMENT FROM A VIDEO GAME STORE, NOT EVEN GAMESTOP EVER TOLD ME NO NONSENSE LIKE THAT❗❗❗❗Word to the wise avoid this place at all cost❗❗❗

Excellent customer service. They have a variety of items and a wide selection of One Piece and Pokémon cards.

The selection and service at this store is remarkable. I bought a Nintendo DS and the man cleaned it up for me real nicely and hooked me up with a charger.
