Troubled Sleep

One of my favorite bookshop in Brooklyn. The selection of both new and used books is just great. You could never leave empty handed. Curated and very well organized. Highly recommend for people looking for gifts to bring back home from a trip to NY. Way better than any of those tacky souvenirs. 🙂 Thank you for the great recommendations and the loveliest small talk. 💫

Great book selection, have to second another reviewer about the rude saleswoman - started yelling at me across the store, took about five tries to figure out who she was yelling at in the group of customers; ‘’No, YOU. YOU IN THE GLASSES. SOMETHING SOMETHING THE BOOKS OUT FRONT". There is a little shelf outside the store with books on it which I thought she might be referring to but it turns out I was in trouble for peeking behind the books on the shelf at the other books behind them. I am a compulsive book buyer and was so excited to find a new store since moving back to the city but will not be spending any money there- plenty of other indie sellers to support.

Nice selection! Eclectic I guess you could say. Art, Fiction, non- fiction commentary and more. Used books mostly. I picked up a split book. Old paperback sci- fi. E. Bertram Chandler (c) 1961 128 pages and John Brunner (c) 1962 127 pages

The store itself is nice and has a very good selection, and a lot of really cool older books that are hard to find. However, whoever the woman was who was working the checkout has to be the rudest person I’ve ever met in a bookstore. She acted annoyed that we were asking her simple questions and didn’t even bother to look up from her phone when we tried talking to her.

Really great selection, down to the $1 shelves outside. Some interesting special editions and signed copies. All served with some humor on the side, see section "crybabies complaining that NEW YORK isn't as cool as it used to be"

Great selection of books, probably the only bookstore I've seen around that has the best finds in their $1 rack too! The owner is super sweet and has great suggestions
