Do not waste your time or money here!!!!! This theater tries to market itself as "luxury," but the reality is the opposite. The lobby felt understaffed and confusing, the barstools and seats were visibly worn, and the entire place smelled unpleasant. The seats looked so run-down that it was uncomfortable to sit in them. Tickets are wildly overpriced for the quality of the experience. Even the popcorn was terrible.. cold, stale, and clearly sitting out for long periods instead of being freshly made. I came here for an anniversary date expecting something special and left disappointed and grossed out. Based on my experience (and similar comments in other reviews), this theater needs serious improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and overall management. I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!

The chairs are extremely worn. They did at least recline but they need an upgrade. The service at the seats is nothing extravagant but does make getting refills easier. The movie theater overall was okay. The movie played with no issues. It was clear and the sound was excellent. Other than the seats, this place is not bad. The gratuity that is automatically added isn’t worth it because she barely did anything so they kind of need to adjust that. It wasn’t busy when we went in so automatically add by gratuity is insane.

The experience was a mix of excellent food and frustrating drawbacks. The food was phenomenal — easily the highlight of the visit. I ordered both the crispy fried chicken bowl and the shrimp Florentine linguine, and both dishes were flavorful, well-prepared, and genuinely impressive for a movie theater dining experience. Honestly, the food exceeded expectations and felt more like restaurant-quality than typical theater fare. Unfortunately, the seating situation really detracted from the experience. The seats felt old and were extremely noisy. Every time someone adjusted their seat, the sound could be clearly heard over the movie, which became very distracting and honestly pretty annoying. For a premium movie-and-dining concept, quieter, more modern seating would make a huge difference. Another issue was with service details. When the food was delivered, both plates came out without any utensils or napkins, which was inconvenient — especially since it’s not the easiest environment to flag someone down once the movie has started. Overall, CMX CinéBistro Cary has the potential to be a fantastic experience because the food is truly excellent. However, the outdated, noisy seating and missed service basics take away from what should feel like a seamless, elevated movie night. If they addressed those issues, it would be a standout spot.

Went here the other night and was shocked to see the seats were all in disrepair. Torn, ripped and peeling on ALL the seats, including the ones in the bar. Once we found our seats in the theater we immediately ordered. My plate arrived within mins while my husband's plates arrived over an hour later. It was evident that this was an occuring problem during the entire movie. After the movie, people lined up for refunds. Apparently, many guest did not receive their meals or their food arrived too late. On top of that, we were charged an automatic 19.5 percent tip on our bill. If you are going to charge that much for the service than the service should represent that percentage. The one thing I did enjoy was that the seats are large and can recline. However, I can not recommend this place with the poor service and the condition of the seats. I would also like to mention that one of the employees there, Nin, was extremely helpful at the end and very professional.

Had the salmon, and it well exceeded my expectations! Very good! Great venue, nice staff, comfortable recliners. I wish the floor was stacked/sloped though so the back can see the screen better. The floor is flat.

We chose Cinemark Bistro in Cary for Valentine's Day specifically because you advertise a dinner-and-a-movie experience. We paid a premium for that promise. What we got was a complete failure on every level. Our seats were filthy — covered in popcorn and greasy to the touch. We arrived 20 minutes early to order dinner and were told to order at our seats. When we got there, the server informed us the kitchen was over two hours behind due to staffing issues and wasn't taking food orders. Nobody at the box office or check-in mentioned any of this, so we had no chance to make other plans for our Valentine's dinner. When we asked the manager if we could bring in outside food since their kitchen couldn't function, he was flat-out rude to my wife. Instead of finding a solution, he told us we could put in an order but that she'd probably just complain about the food after the movie anyway. That comment was insulting and completely uncalled for. We ended up with popcorn, drinks, an automatic 19% tip, and a ruined Valentine's dinner. For what this theater charges, the dirty seats alone would be unacceptable — but the kitchen failure they hid from us and the way management treated my wife made this an experience I won't forget for all the wrong reasons. Save your money and your special occasions for somewhere that actually delivers what it promises.

We haven’t been here in months… not sure if we will return. Kitchen not open for the 9 pm movie time. So much for dinner and movie date night. No draft beer. The seats are in even worse shape & condition from last visit. No staff in bar area for 15 minutes. Movie theater was not available to take seat at movie start time of 9:15. Staff said they needed more time to clean mess. Currently 9:50 pm, still no movie. Theater still dirty.
