I really like this place; every time I visit, I find all sorts of interesting toys and gifts. Moreover, they have a great selection of Jellycats! There’s also a yo-yo museum inside where I found the same brand new vintage models I played with in elementary school in China over 20 years ago. Although they're not for sale, it was a delightful surprise to see my childhood toys this way across the pacific. Another reason I come to this store is that they offer gift wrapping services.

Bird in hand name sounds like a place where you can hold birds. Irony to the name, this is a gift a shop and a museum. You can find the largest Yo-yo. Great place to get books, gifts for friends and families . We ended up purchasing a board game. Excellent service. Parking - street metered parking.

I placed an online order that was shipped incorrectly, within two hours of contacting the staff. They had rectified the problem and had the correct one on its way to me in time for our holiday. Very thankful they were on it and made it right so quickly.

Best selection of toys from 1980's old school games to modern robotic builds of the future there's something unique for all. Never a bored kid in here! Yo-yo museum is in back of store(you walk through store to view).

Huge toy store, old-timey & whimsical, with every little doodad & gadget that make little my GenX heart flutter in nostalgia, & also offering local touristy souvenirs &, perplexingly, a large selection of high-quality Hawaiian shirts‽ Very friendly staff. A joy to visit, for kids ages 1-99! Bonus: the National Yo-Yo Museum sits unassumingly in the very back! Tiny altar to the humble yoyo, embedded & almost seemingly forgotten in the back of a huge old-timey toy store, Bird in Hand, with an impressive collection showing off the evolution of the toy—including the gigantic 256-lbs wooden monster that was twirled off a construction crane! I especially appreciate the focus on the Filipino roots of the phenomenon & the name. Pinoy representation!

A great store that houses the Yo-yo Museum. Met the owner who was super nice and educated me on the history of the Yo-yo. Lots of cool stuff to buy. I think we left with a plush, fidgets, tshirts and a new Yo-yo.

I ordered some Michel design works soaps for my aunts birthday. She received them in a timely manner and they were beautifully wrapped. She said this was one of the nicest gifts she ever received. Thank you!
