We stopped in here to check out a local board game shop as we do on all of our travels, and this one was a real treat. We arrived just before opening and as soon as it opened there were folks setting up MTG tables and DnD sessions (we later found out that these events were part of a charity donation drive too!). It's a small shop but has a vast inventory of board games, card games, RPGs, and miniatures, along with the exact charm and welcoming vibe that makes us adore these types of stores. While shopping, the owner chatted with us about where we're from and also gave us some recommendations for food in the area whilst his niece (I believe) ran the register. They were both so sweet and we left being so happy that this was the store we chose to visit out of the 3 or 4 that we came across when searching the area. Due to the events going on there wasn't space available for us to rent a game from the library but my impression from chatting with the owner is that this is uncommon (of course, if you're really set on that you can call ahead and ask). I'd highly recommend this place and if we find ourselves on Oahu in the future we will be back!
Best place to buy board games. Staff are all super friendly and very passionate about the games they sell. The owner is very down to earth and supports all tabletop gaming community. Everyday they have different events dedicated for all kinds of games from board game night, Friday night magic, One Piece Mondays, tabletop war games, Miniature painting, any may more. 10/10 will buy all my board games here.
Fun little tabletop game hobbyist store. Lots of selection from obscure games to Warhammer 40k paints/figurines. The staff was super friendly and you can tell there are many people who enjoy this location because a large card tournament was happening outside the store. Overall, great experience!
Great friendly local game store. Always host's free gaming community nights with tables and chairs for use, and has a wide selection of board games to choose from!
Was visiting the island and wanted to see what Warhammer stuff it had to offer. This place is amazing! I found so many hard to find models. The selection here is amazing and everywhere you turn there is something more discover. The staff are very friendly and hobbist themselves so you can loose hours in this place. Best shop on the island.
Arrived in Honolulu this morning on board a cruise ship (I am crew). We have been playing Battletech on the ship but I am very new to the game and have no minis of my own. Went to Armchair Adventurer to pick up some Battletech stuff and was amazed at the size of the shop and the variety of games. The staff and even the patrons were cool. Got myself some plastic crack, a can of monster and walked back to the ship, it was good shore leave. Will get them painted up once I get home to Scotland!
Keith is one of the coolest dudes!, randomly ran across this spot one day and I’m super glad I did. Always nice to come in and see Keith and his co workers, even when I call in he’s always in such a good mood. 🤙🏻
