Channel 3 Retro Gaming Center

Such a fun place! Highly recommend checking it out! $15 for all you can play, and surprisingly kept eight 10 yr old boys who typically get bored with retro games entertained for several hours. And 5 millennial adults reliving our childhood, haha. They even have a Nintendo Wii. I also loved the retro Midway game that is similar to Galaga but a few years newer- I’d never seen it before so I guess it never caught on but it was super fun. The only thing I would suggest is maybe put a sign up asking folks to kindly take turns with games if someone is waiting. One family was on the Xbox for quite literally the entire 3 hours we were there and the parent said no to our kids who asked nicely if they could play, after a couple hours of waiting.

Couldn't be happier with our experience. We are reportedly the first to hold a birthday party at Channel 3 (extremely affordable price) and Garrett was incredible. Devoted opening for the event only, he helped clean up, troubleshot any issues with games during the event and even offered to edit our photos. HIGHLY recommend discussing holding an event at the site and going through Garrett!

Excellent selection of classics, some have a few issues. I saw 2 that were down. 1 had a bad joystick but really for how old these machines are they have done a good job keeping them running. A few have LCD screens which is unfortunate but understandable. Nevertheless if you are a classic arcade game lover you owe it to yourself to stop by to play! If I was local I would visit often. I've added pics of a few machines that caught my eye.

I recently had the chance to visit Channel 3 Retro Arcade, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! After my visit to a local thrift store, I accidentally got on the wrong bus and ended up exploring an older area of Lakewood. Instead of getting frustrated, I decided to embrace the adventure and see where it would take me. After a couple of miles, I stumbled upon Channel 3, and I must say, it felt like stepping back in time! As someone who grew up in the arcade era, this place brought back so many fond memories. The nostalgic sights and sounds of classic games filled the air, and it was like being a kid again. I loved seeing all the vintage machines and remembering the good old days of gaming. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff who clearly share a passion for retro gaming. It’s a fantastic spot to unwind, indulge in some friendly competition, and reminisce about the arcade days of my youth. So, if you find yourself in the Lakewood area, don’t hesitate to check out Channel 3 Retro Arcade—even if your journey leads you there unexpectedly like mine did! It’s a hidden gem that every arcade fan should visit!

Heard about this place & got a chance to take the grandkids. It was awesome to show them the games we played back in...... wait, was it the 80s?? But there were also the older Playstation & Xbox games along with the newer ones. One kid played Fortnite and another one played Spyro while I hopped from Centipedes, Asteroids & Mario Kart. The fella that ran the place was absolutely wonderful & so nice. Every game request we had he was able to accommodate. We will definitely go back.

Great fun, amazing price for the options. Staff is friendly and helpful. Will go again and again. Cyber Troopers is calling my name!
