The Book Rescuers

Fabulous used bookstore! Well-organized, with a lot of old 80’s Science Fiction Book Club editions (during my visit), and pretty much stuff from EVERY genre. They also go beyond your standard bookstore with a huge seating area to cozy up with a good book, exhibits from local crafters and artists, plus a really cool crafty area with ideas and supplies to make art— collages, etc.

Absolutely adore this place! Came here because I’m originally from MN/TX and moved here last summer. I’ve been trying to find a place like ‘Half Priced Books’ and stumbled upon this place. It’s HUGE! Filled with so many books and music and whatever else there is. Will definitely come back. Overall pretty organized as well even if they have a lot of books. They also even do mystery random books that they wrap with a short summary and theme, you buy, and you read offering free small gifts with it. Cute idea! Great cheap pricing. The down side IMO? A lot of the books do tend to be older, as I didn’t see many newer more recent year ones. And it’s not really aesthetically instagrammable. I’m wanting to post on my Instagram but it’s hard when it doesn’t really fit in. But these are just based on my own opinions. Nothing that won’t make me go back.

A definite must when in or near Largo, FL. Full of unique finds. Gifts for the readers in your life. Very nice staff. Plenty of seating to enjoy your newly purchased spoils or hang out with your friends.

First time checking out the Book Rescuers and it was very impressive!!! They have a huge inventory of books…over 1 mile long of shelving from paperbacks to hard cover books at very affordable prices!!! There are multiple sections in the store from a nice seating area, to an area full of vinyl records, cassette tapes in the front area. There are movies and more in the VHS and DVD format as well!! Everything is organized nicely throughout the store and they have tons of subjects covered!! Definitely recommend checking this place out for reasonable pricing on everything!!! Great resources for teachers too!!!

This is easily my favorite place in the entire world. My girls (ages 7 and 12) all love this place beyond measure. We have spent so much time wandering and searching for treasure and we never leave empty handed. Their affordable pricing, amazing selection, friendly staff and atmosphere keep us coming back. I've been able to introduce my kids to "vintage" CDs and videos on VHS. The nostalgia and being able to physically touch my childhood and share it with my kids is irreplaceable. Thank you Book Rescuers for offering so much more than just books and CDs.

This place is amazing. A huge selection of books for super cheap prices. You can tell they chose their name appropriately. They want books rescued and in the hands of people who will read and live them. They also showcase local artists and show love for teachers. Amazing all around!
