Page Against The Machine

I love Page, come here every month for the Long Beach Anarchist Book Club on the first Wednesday of the month and I stop by for the book and usually pick up another fiction or poetry book while I'm at it. They have a pretty varied selection that I cludes comics, queer books, film, philosophy and other sim things. The owner Chris is great and friendly and is always excited to learn about new books and order stuff for you.

Owner is amazing and knows his stuff. Great used collection and curated new selection. Store’s in a great area. Went last year and we bonded over Myriam Gurba fandom.

Awesome, quiet little bookstore with an amazing selection of new and used books at great prices. Definitely the place to come if you're trying to educate yourself and your little ones (they have books for children as well) especially in this current political climate.

A small bookstore that focuses on leftist/anti-capitalist/anti-racist non-fiction, with a shelf or two of relevant fiction/classics. The owner was absolutely a delight to speak with and gave my friend and I solid recommendations for the type of books we wanted to read. Would definitely visit again if I'm in the area!

I found this gem of a bookstore at the peak of Covid while out of town being in SoCal and it quickly became my favorite progressive bookshop in the entire West Coast! Long Beach, CA is very lucky to have such a passionate, educated and community driven open space, specially because of the political and social challenging circumstances we are experiencing and living these days. Not only the in store stock is superb and exceptionally well curated, you can also order online for a reasonable shipping cost or you can also arrange local pickup!
