I felt so at home in this space. I loved it. The lady at the counter was very nice. I called on the phone before I went and I could tell the space had nice energy. I loved the book selections. Plenty of body products, clothing, herbs and tonics. GREAT MUSIC SELECTIONS playing in the shop (I rock with Fertile Ground HARD so I was very delighted lol). Thank you! Will be visiting again!

I remember my first time here, it was a few years ago when I was just visiting Nashville at the time and I was just so taken away from this store! It reminded me of a spot back home in Baltimore and this instantly became my favorite spot in Nashville! Since then, whenever I am in town I visit. The parking is tough, at least for me cuz I can’t drive low key lol anyway I’m always able to get a parking spot, and I always can find what I’m looking for or try something new! I love the customer service and location! Best place in town!

Alkebu-Lan Images on Jefferson Street is truly a gem! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was absolutely incredible—the music, the ambience, everything felt so warm and inviting. The energy of the space is unmatched, and you can tell it’s filled with culture and love. The customer service was hands down the best I’ve ever experienced! Everyone was so welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure I felt at home. I love everything about this place—every detail, every interaction, every moment was top tier. If you’re in Nashville, Alkebu-Lan Images is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to come back again and again!

Alkebu Lan Images is a phenomenal Black owned Bookstore! The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. The selection of books, T-shirts, incense, jewelry, statues, body oils and products is top notch. This is definitely a destination I visit everytime I am in Tennessee. Black bookstores are vital to the community and need to be supported! I LOVE this store ❤️
