Maze Books

Finally made my way here after following their social media for quite some time. My dad takes my little brother here to play chess and I had been dying to check it out. I found 4 books I was looking for. The cashier was very friendly and the books were very fairly priced. I could have spent hours here! I will definitely be back.

I patronized Maze Books in the past and forgot to leave a review. This is an amazing used bookstore in terms of vibes and selection, the most important elements we desire culturally speaking. All of the books are immediately visible and mostly accessible, staff are available to help you access what you can't reach though. There's also plenty of space to sit and peruse the pieces you pick out. It's also worth remembering that you can call and request they find/order books that are not in stock. This is one way of combatting the middle-man industrial complex exemplified by Amazon. Overall, Maze Books is a great place to find what you want and perhaps more importantly, what you didn't know you wanted.

A great local book store that supports the community. I love that they do local events to bring people in and carry a wide variety of books even a local author section. If your looking to support local, make sure you stop in as they support the local community and are making a positive difference for Rockford. After all who doesn't need some good books for that cold winter night or that warm summer sun sitting in nature....

Rockford is lucky to have such a great little bookstore. They are very invested in the community and offer multiple activities, such as chess club and book club. They have a wide selection of new and used books, and a good selection of children’s books with a reading nook. The employees are open and welcoming, always willing to help you find what you need. This local Rockford bookstore isn't just a shop, it's a cornerstone of the community. It's the kinda place where you walk in and immediately feel at home, whether you're a regular or a first time visitor. Bonus they have a lot of Stephen king books.

Best kept secret in Rockford! What a great bookstore, the owner is knowledgeable and accessible, the stock is fantastic, and the prices are more than fair. This is a can’t miss location for any book lover - highly recommend!

Maze Books is a great independent book shop. They have a great selection of new and used books at very reasonable prices. The one time that they didn’t have the book I was looking to buy, the owner helped me to obtain the book through bookshop.org. The owner is very involved in the community and hosts a variety of things at his shop ~ chess club, book club and community discussions. It’s always a pleasure to stop by his shop.
