Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore

My husband and I have been coming here for years. The staff really seem to love there jobs. If you don't see what you want they will order it for you and it can also be delivered to your home. They will have activities and clubs throughout the year and a monthly book box to get in the mail. The occasional scavenger hunts around the store can be a fun way to talk to other customers. I like how it specializes in only fiction. They have a decent selection of Manga and a cute kids section. They will even wrap books that are bought for presents.

This was a much bigger store than expected and the selection was great! I LOVE horror and their horror collection was extensive. We didn’t get much time in the store but you could spend hours there. Bonus points for the fact that their bathroom says rock bottom on it and when you get the key it’s a Rocktopus 😂

Great experience here! Everyone who was working was super helpful and sweet. This is a great bookstore to visit if you love locally owned stores! Very charming. They have a lot of merch other than just books. And they have a LOT of books! Signed and otherwise. Overall amazing bookstore!

Lovely place as always! I brought my sister this time around and she also had a great time and found a bunch of things she wanted. Staff was wonderful and helped me with a couple preorder inquiries. My niblings also enjoyed the children's section when I brought them in. Will always recommend stopping by and checking out Musterious Galaxy

Mysterious Galaxy has a friendly, helpful staff, ready to engage with customers, and in my experience, the clientele of this bookstore also seem interesting and welcoming. There's a good selection of science fiction reading material and I have not been to an event here, but I plan to go to one in the future. There are some decent-looking small restaurants in the shopping center, it seems to me like a fun outing would be browsing and shopping at Mysterious Galaxy, then having a bite to eat.

Great bookstore, one I like to frequent often. They have great fantasy, mystery, horror, and young adult book selections. As well as stickers and other book related items. They host many authors which means they usually have signed copies of books which is amazing. The staff is always super friendly, and give great recommendations. The bookstore shares a parking lot with the other stores in the plaza. Depending on the time it can be difficult to get in and out of the parking lot but definitely worth the trouble if you visit during a busy time. Definitely recommend for book lovers in San Diego.

The bookstore is laid out nicely with all the sections clearly labeled. There's a good selection of topics and variety of books within each section. The children's section is set up with reading chairs for the kids. The staff were friendly and more than happy to help find books based off interests. I was thrilled to find signed copies of books from some of my favorite authors, and hearing that they have appearances from authors is thrilling. My only complaint would be the parking lot, but that's hardly the fault of the store.
