Great store. Always clean and well organized. Employees are always helpful. The only drawback is a lack of hardcover titles. I dont purchase paperbacks. I only collect hardcover. I also wish they had a way of ordering the hard to find titles instead of just saying they dont have it.

Barnes & Noble at Oglethorpe Mall is more than just a bookstore—it’s a sanctuary, especially when life gets a little chaotic. After a severe thunderstorm in Savannah left us without power for five days, this store became a refuge. We headed there to charge our phones and ended up spending hours just relaxing, browsing through the books, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. It was a much-needed break from the stress of the power outage. The store itself is spacious and well-organized, with a wide variety of books, magazines, and games. There's something for everyone, from bestsellers to niche titles. The café inside is perfect for grabbing a coffee or snack while you settle into a cozy reading spot. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the environment is calm and inviting, making it easy to lose track of time while you’re there. Whether you're looking for a new book, a quiet place to recharge (literally and figuratively), or just a space to chill out for a few hours, Barnes & Noble at Oglethorpe Mall is the perfect spot. It really became a lifesaver during a tough time, and I couldn’t be more grateful for how welcoming and comfortable the experience was.

I may not always be greeted by employees when I come. I almost always find books. I don't like to order online nor at cashier for books. I always enjoy myself and love the book hunts.. love the starbucks employees there.

Seated in the kids area, having a constructive moment with my kid. This is what I would expect to be doing either undisturbed in the kids area or being asked if I needed anything. A family sitting at a table. Not a single person asked us if they could help us, but one did single us out to ensure that we were not going to steal toys out of a book. I assured the lady that we were fine, but she was rather insistent. I bought the book so that we could continue undisturbed. The book that I explained we were going to buy. I left to go buy the book. The lady was still hovering around pretending to arrange books until I came back. Find that she had again approached my family after I left to further explain her stance. Barnes and Noble was one of the few things left of interest for trips to this mall. Considering I am on camera, and there likely should be somewhere there monitoring, it seemed more prudent to be observant and helpful before jumping to insinuation and confrontation. Crazy, my child brought me a book, and I did not know where she found it- I asked the lady that confronted us- complete disgust and missed context was what I received as a response. She, of course, did not know. So, it is either I am crazy, or something is a little off here. I see quite a bit of the same experiences here in reviews. Anybody listening?

Made a return, which was smooth as could be considering I had no receipt. I purchased online. Great guy working the register said he would have no problem finding my item thru my phone number. Bam 💥. I was so impressed by his great attitude that I stayed and actually shopped. I ended up buying way more than retuned shoe cost!

This location is not kid-friendly whatsoever, and I am not the first one in these reviews to say it. Today was the third (and final) time I’ve visited and been treated poorly by staff because I had my kids with me. I’ve walked in here and an employee rolled her eyes at the simple fact that I am just strolling my kids around. The last time we came, an employee got onto my kids for playing on the stage in the kids section because they were "making it dirty." What’s the point of having it, then? Today, I was pushing my kids in their stroller, and an employee was out shelving puzzles. Her cart was in the middle of the aisle I was walking in. Rather than move it, she just stared at me as I tried to scoot by. I said "excuse me" politely. My back wheel bumped into the cart, and it knocked down her metal tray. "I’m sorry," I said, to which I received a very rude and loud sigh of exasperation. Truly, I love Barnes & Noble, but this location needs a staff overhaul because if they are this miserable about KIDS being in their store and parents fostering their love of reading, they should not be working in a bookstore in the first place.

So nice to spend time here! I moved from California last year, and they had closed all the Barnes & Nobles near us several years before. The day was rainy and cold - a cup of hot coffee and a snack... a wonderful selection of incredible magazines, toys and gifts... and the books. All the amazing books! It was a wonderful time I spent here. Can't wait to go back!
