Scene One Cinemas Movieland 6

I went to a long movie (3.5 hours) with my elderly father. We got water prior to the movie starting at 7pm. Around 9pm I went out to buy some water and a snack and the concession stand was closed. The staff member informed me that it closes 20 minutes after the last movie starts, which was 7:40, meaning you can't purchase any food or drinks after 8pm. Our movie got out at 10:30pm. I couldn't even buy bottled water...I was offered tap water. I'm unsure why this policy exists given that a staff person is already paid to be there, we paid to be there, but apparently can't purchase anything else until shortly after the movie starts. I used to enjoy this theater years ago. I recently moved back and (wrongfully) assumed it was still decent. I absolutely will not return. The screen and sound were good (the only reason 2 stars and not 1). Seats were not.

Wish they did a better job monitoring guests. My theater had a group running in and out atleast 16 times the whole movie. When they were actually seated, they were having loud conversations the whole time and phone ringers on and going off constantly. They were also standing in the back of the theater facing away from the screen seeming like they were doing sexually explicit things. Made it extremely unenjoyable.

First Time at this Cinema, I had accidentally ordered Tickets for the wrong location when I intended to this one and it was cleared through with no issue because I called ahead, concessions are good a bit cheaper than Regal, and the adds aren't purely that bad or long.

7-31-2024 I have been coming here for years. Pros: place is usually empty, no idea how they stay in business. Clean theaters. Great prices. Cons: Smaller screens (but cheap $). Bathrooms need work. Patrons are rude and have their phones out during the shows (not movie theater’s fault).

Nice movie theater. Cheap tickets. Only one person working though, and they don't have the heat on

July 2nd 4:00pm Came to watch jurassic park 3d. The guy that was selling tickets and drinks was so unprofessional. Just could tell he didnt wanna be there, was mumbling and speaking under his breath. Also who ever was behind the counter with him was just as bad. The facility let their liquor license expire and couldn't have an alcohol beverage. The movie theater seats smell like someone pissed in them. The overall experience was so bad. With movie theaters becoming less popular. They really should focus on customer satisfaction. Ill never come here again.

I enjoy coming to this movie theater, the workers are cool, very polite prices are great and it's close to home, the only thing I wish the chairs were more comfortable to lean back then that definitely would be great I gave it five stars because this business is A+ plus to have in Schenectady since there's really not much here..so yea people come down come watch a movie enjoy yourself 😊 they have great air conditioning in the theaters and the popcorn is great
