This cute romace bookstore is such a magical place! They have books sorted by subgenre (fantasy, contemporary, paranormal, dark, and even local authors), spice ratings on each book, secret bookshelf door, warm beverage station, bookish apparel, and blind dates with a book! I got a special edition of Howl's Moving Castle - one of my favorite books! And I can't wait to come back!!
Awesome Niche bookstore! This bookstore is a great place to visit when you want a specific book, or when you don't know what you want! It has popular authors latest releases and tons of independent authors too. The staff and owner are kind and helpful, and the ambiance is top notch. Parking isn't too bad, you can find street parking the the lots are full. This bookstore is my new favorite!
Beautiful store with massive selection. This store is something out of a cinema classic. Gorgeous, with ample seating and an option for every romance reader. The owner and her staff is so incredibly kind. Prices are fantastic, especially for an independent store. I highly recommend supporting this business.
This was such an amazing experience! The store had amazing books and art and so much more! The owner is the sweetest person ever and all the staff were great helps and super nice as well!!
Went for the grand opening on 10/4 and it was a magical experience. The owner is so sweet and the store is beautiful. The entire local book community really showed up with support and it was amazing to be apart of. I was impressed with the book selection with bookshelves specifically for indie authors. Definitely will be back again!
I wanted to love this store but have been severely disappointed. Each time I go in the selection is quite low and generic. In the past month trying to contact the store has been near impossible. Phones don't work, emails go answered, and friends were recently told they were not welcome to stay and use the front seating. If traveling through the Tacoma area, I'd have to suggest visiting Grit City Books, HiVoltage, or Page & Pine in downtown Puyallup. Update: I did not visit this store during what was being described and the friend that was told they couldn't use the seating was not there with a "group of 8+ people" they had a total of 4 people.
I spent multiple weeks trying to communicate with the store to reserve their space. I stopped getting responses on email. Tried calling them, their phones were disconnected. One of my book club members went in to make sure we were on the schedule, confirmed the day and time again. After, they emailed me changing the date from what was spoken about in the store. I didn't realize the day was different than what I verbally got told because I was busy at work and said it worked. Come day of book club 2 of my girls go in (I was running behind so they beat me there) and are told we were scheduled the day before, no call, no show. They also claim they sent a Google invite but I never received it. They also claimed they tried reaching out to me day of but I never heard from them. However they are not willing to admit maybe their systems doesn't work very well. At first the employee working was super nice. Said we could use the room after the other group. Then we she realized only 4 of us could make it she offered the couches at the front of the store. When I was almost there I get a call saying "nevermind. Apparently we cannot sit in the store and we are banned". They said the employee was super nice and then its like she was told to tell us something different. The owner at first was very abrasive with the original post and also abrasive with someone else's post. Claiming she reviewed her CCTV and saying she couldn't accommodate the 8 people in the store when at the time there were only 2. Then she completely changed her story in a email to me saying we were never banned and that she also said she told the worker at the time to give us the room at 1pm and per her video footage they didn't. BUT the worker did offer it to us. She was originally very nice. The whole thing is very shady. It feels like the owner doesn't want to own her mistakes. Even if she would have just admitted her system/phones don't work very well and it was just a big oops with miscommunication it would have been very different. Unfortunately the 9 of us in our book club will not be shopping there but hope this encourages them to fix their phones/email situation.
