Steamy Lit

This local romance bookstore is super cute! The staff was very friendly and there is a great selection. They even create special editions in-house. They also have mystery books and a section for people who "were dragged there," which was nice as a more general fiction book lover.

This shop is so cute, and a must visit in Tampa. I came in the shop while on vacation here in town, and the staff who worked the front desk by the checkout were so lovely and so kind. I also love the trinkets and the books that I purchased, the date with a book is such a cute and clever idea 10/10 will be back here the next time I’m in Tampa! 💕🌸💓

I have made it my mission that where ever I visit I will seek out and purchase a book from an indie bookstore. Specifically, woman owned. This shop is cute. It has pink and cozy vibes. Steamy Lit is a cute book store that also has adorable merch and even scented epsom salt. The merch is sweatshirts, t-shirts, caps and totes. The book selection is nice, mostly centered on romance. I saw the variety of romance tropes that romance lovers enjoy. Second chance romance, enemies to lovers, LGBTQ+, sporty romances, etc. The service is cheerful, and helpful. The costs are in-line with what most small bookstores charge. Fair. The con is the parking situation, the tiny parking "lot" in front of the store fit only 3 cars maybe and across the street is a train track that supposedly was ok to park. Follow GPS instructions, the street address is MacDill but it will tell you to turn on Gandy and the shop is right there.

At first we were concerned about parking based on reviews but were happy to find its in a city area with plenty of street parking. While the book shop parking lot is small its nothing to make a 2 minute walk to get lost for a half an hour in a book store! The shop itself is absolutely adorable. Cozy and inviting with excellent staff. I wish I caught her name because she was extremely knowledgeable in the books they carry. She made great recommendations, talked to us about our reads and helped us find the perfect blind date with a book to suit our reading desires. While the books stay hidden she was able to confirm authors, tropes and more. When you think shop small this is exactly the type of staff you want working for you! My friend and I both walked out with great buys and cant wait to visit their other location hopefully in the near future.

Had such a great experience when I visited! The booksellers are all so kind and knowledgeable. I walked out with way too many books; isn't that how it always goes? Lots of cute stickers and book accessories! Love it! I hope to visit the new locations coming to Miami and Ft. Lauderdale on my next visit to Florida 🖤 we need more bookstores that are catered to diversity and inclusion!

YOU MUST TRY THIS STORE OUT ASAP! I ACTUALLY FOUND YOU ON YELP! I absolutely love this Indie bookstore!! They have upgraded it to feast on the soul of a book baddie and I'M ALL FOR IT!! I've purchased many books from here so far. The staff is so friendly but I love how my favorite section is in the back corner and I just feel like im in my happy place lmao. Thank you for remodeling this little store to become what it is today! These books have filled my walls perfectly.. 🍷🖤📖📚😜🤣🫠

I visited steamy lit while out of town and what a treat! I love that this store has a focus on WOC and queer/trans authors. The environment is welcoming and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Found a couple great reads on the LGBTQ+ shelves I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. I hope to visit again when I am back in town!
