Alibi Bookshop what a wonderful place ... A great jewel in Historical Downtown Vallejo, the last authentic, genuine and unique book stores in the bayarea. Remember when one could be found one almost on every corner on a Saturday afternoon stroll. Well look no more Alibi Bookshop it is. The smell, the feel, colors, of past, present, and future. Reminds me why I fell in love with reading as a child. Visit this amazing place take the entire family 0-beyond years there is a book, gift for everyone... One of the many things I love, they will order a book for you if they don't have it. They have children hour, author visits, and poetry events. This store brings the love of reading and words to the next level.... put it on your monthly shopping list to visit.. reward children with a visit as a birthday gift.. Vallejo, the wonders, beauty, and charm... Alibi Bookshop is must, can not be missed...

This place is a little treasure in downtown Vallejo! I was there to pick up a candy order another small retailer had left there for me but I couldn't help exploring the shop while I was there. The shop keep was welcoming and the vibe felt comfortable and inviting. There were lots of quirky little fun items as well as a wide variety of books I haven't seen in bigger shops. I'm planning on making another trip soon to spend more time perusing the shelves.

I love this place!! So many interesting books, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for, THEY CAN ORDER IT! The owner is SO NICE. I could talk to her for hours while looking for cool, new, and interesting books. So stop ordering from Shmamazon, and come support a local gem!

This is an independent store, small, but awesome, with a great selection of books - new and used, art, stationery and a sort of gateway drug to other downtown Vallejo attractions.

Absolutely a wonderful resource for Vallejo, Solano County, and the North Bay. If you haven't been to peruse their shelves or have a chat with Karen or John, you are totally missing out Karen has curated a selection of books that cover the local area in history, human experience, and great local fiction. Also, there is a great children's section and some quirky gift ideas. Drop in on Alibi Books, find a great book, and let the afternoon's reading take you somewhere else with a cuppa and cookie (or 3). The pic below is from the 5th Anniversary in June 2023.
