I only went to this location because the movie my kids wanted to see was not @ our preferred theater. We had a very interesting experience here tho The server Jasmyn lack common sense! After settling my tab upfront with a tip she still messed up a simple task. I asked for 4 drinks in "to go" cups She forgot (not a big deal) Then i reminded her she came back with empty to go cups 🤯 so i ask can you bring the drinks inside the cup 😂, she try to take the drinks in the regular cup back I told her she can grab those drinks after bringing the new drinks out ( you not gonna pour those drinks into the to go cups 😂) I got my cranberry juice with extra bubbles 😂 I took it to the front , ordered another @ this point I’m feeling like a Karen 😂 the dude made me a new drink with visible frustration he must of been aware of the previous situation already , he made a new drink in front of me but took it to the back for a lid, it came back extra bubbles 😂 I discarded it and purchased bottled waters . The movie was great. Went back to see Mercy the experience was a lot better.

Love the layout inside. Bright and cheerful hallway. Staff is very pleasant and welcoming. The seats are comfortable with reclining. On these cold days it would be nice if they had heat built in. There are no bad seats in there. The food was also good. I had wings which were very tasty and went well with the dip. The salad was a good size and was easy to eat with its small chicken nuggets. The serving staff grabbed empty containers promptly which is good with such small food trays. If you get 2 items they really fight for space on the tray. My companion had a dessert that took a very long time to prepare and got there just before the end of the show.

We love going to Cinema Cafe - Kemps River! The full menu of food options is such a game changer compared to standard theater snacks — and the adult beverages are a huge bonus for date nights. Our server was efficient and friendly, patient with our needy kids! The recliner seating makes the experience even better. It’s comfortable, spacious, and really elevates the whole movie-going experience. They were also a lifesaver on an unexpected school closure day — we were able to grab tickets and enjoy a movie when we needed a fun, easy plan for the kiddos. Great movie availability, great atmosphere, and always a fun experience. Highly recommend

The most reasonable way to watch a movie in a theater these days with Wacky Wednesday just costing $5.27 if purchased on location vs online imposing additional fees. I'd say any day is half price of AMC or Regal. Love the reclining seats! And they have a pretty extensive menu of food & drink available at reasonable prices while watching the movie. Can't comment on the quality of the food as I didn't have any, but some smelled pretty good. There is a call for service button on the seats and the comings & goings of waiters/waitresses can be a bit disruptive, but not too bad and can be ignored.

Owner, I would like to thank you for the great establishment that you have especially being you hired Mananager Jason at Kempsville. He has shown nothing but the best hospitality, respect, and the best customer service. On the behalf of myself and other customer, please do something for Jason to show how we greatly appreciate him for all he does. He never miss a beat every time I visit your the Cafe. Please show him how we appreciate him Going above and beyond in every positive area. His leadership with the waitresses and waiters have been trained by the leadership of Jason and other managers. He could of been anywhere else to work but he needed you and he chose the best company to work for. So thanks in advance for doing something extraordinary for the fantastic work that Jason continues to do. Also thank you for being a great Owner and maintaining a great establishment in every positive area.
