Alchemy Springs & Sauna Garden

nothing is fully perfect - but Alchemy Springs ALMOST is! I would give 5 stars if the sauna were as hot as my body desires, but given the fact that they are in a period of growth and expansion, I know and believe it will get better! The Yoga room has an exceptionally good acoustic for soundbaths... WOW! thanks Alchemy for existing in SF and can't wait for more adventures with you

Alchemy Springs is a breath of fresh air in the middle of the inner city. As a resident of Lower Nob Hill, I am sooo grateful for this space and their beautiful community. Sarah’s yoga and workshops are incredible! The Sauna Garden is a dream! You have to stop by, whether you’re a Bay Area Resident or just someone visiting SF

Alchemy is a true slice of paradise in the Tenderloin from the moment you walk in you feel safe secure and comfortable. The sauna is incredible. The warm benches are so soothing and the hot tea feels like medicine for the soul, but what really makes the place shine is the people genuine kind heart centered and committed to creating a space of wellness in a part of San Francisco that really needs it! Thank you to the whole alchemy team for everything you’re doing. This is more than a spa. It’s a sanctuary and a slice of paradise, with much Aloha!

Just leaving Alchemy for my second time. I am honestly blown away by this place. What’s not to like? It’s gorgeous. A true upscale spa oasis jungle. SF (and the whole Bay Area) needed this! Jon Stein (founder) is incredibly warm and welcoming. Sina, who leads the Tuesday night Contrast Therapy session, is a great facilitator. I’m so grateful for this space to relax my mind and body.

If you're looking for a peaceful and restorative refuge in the middle of the city, Alchemy Springs is the place for you. I recently went with my bf and a friend who've been multiple times, and I wish I had come sooner. The overall experience from start to finish transported me into a state of relaxation and ease. The spaces are inviting and open, the sauna room is hot and clean, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I loved sitting in the heated benches in the outdoor garden after the sauna and getting to know others. I'll definitely be coming back and want to do so regularly!

I never thought I’d be the type of person who could enjoy a cold plunge — but I surprised myself. Sina and Nahal’s Contrast Therapy experience helped me move through discomfort with presence and calm. I left feeling less stressed, clearer minded, and carrying a deeper sense of trust in myself. Their guided breath work created a safe space to explore both the edges and the stillness within. Thank you! ✨

Sometimes you just know when you meet a kind soul that will support you in your path. That's what I felt when I met Sina, the founder of Contrast therapy. I have been practicing yoga and meditation for 20 years and experimented with hot/cold plunges for relaxation but never did it with guided meditation. Using the hot/cold experience with mindful breathing brings you to the next level of body awareness and equanimity. The space is beautiful and Sina creates a safe environment giving just the right amount of guidance and encouragement. I hope there will be more Saturday mornings' classes, perfect timing to relax and get a boost of energy for the rest of your weekend. Thank you for a beautiful experience!
