Bar Louie - Skokie Holiday Inn North Shore

Came here on Christmas eve with my son. I was really surprised how good the food was. Especially The quality of the salmon. The cocktails were good as well. Jen was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make sure my son and I both had a great time and enjoy our meals. She was so sweet with my son. I haven't received great service that was genuine in a while. Jen really does enjoy her customers and truly follows all steps of service... yes they do charge a automatic 18% tip on to the check which is common from a restaurant that is located in a hotel. But I still gave Jen an extra tip, because she deserves it. Thank you Jen we will be returning just for your great service!

I went to the Skokie location for happy hour. I was waiting at the bar for a little over 15 minutes before someone came over to give me menus. There were 2 servers working with only a few parties in the establishment. My server took my drink order then went to take another party's drink order. The server brought the other party their drinks then went to another group to get their drink order. I had to flag the server down to bring me my one drink I had ordered prior to the other parties. Service was horrible, I wouldn't recommend this location based on this unfortunate experience.

Surprisingly elegant bar & restaurant inside the Holiday Inn & Suites Chicago North Shore, Skokie, IL.  It's also where the hotel provides their breakfast. It has a rather chic & intimate atmosphere for a bar & grill inside a Holiday Inn.  Highly motivated staff keeps the place clean & always ready for business.

Good food but poor quality of service and not very motivated staff. Also understaffed and slow to deliver and take your order. Some dirty tables weren't wiped but were told to sit down anywhere I'd like. So I had to ask them to wipe a table I liked the seating.

The drinks are great. Very cool late night spot. Service is always great. Parking is ample. Lots and lots of TV's to catch whatever game is going on. Food comes out fast and fresh. Typical bar food menu. I got the spinach and artichoke dip with chips and it was great. There are many different types of beers on tap including local craft beers. Menu is priced moderately. There are daily specials which are great.

Visit here many times. Affordable price, god ambience. Best service ever look for Anna or Jen. Highly recommended. Will come back!

Went there on yesterday for the $8 burger special. The burger was fantastic. 8 oz burger but it seemed even larger. A generous portion of either fries, tots or asparagus. Any burger on the menu was $8. I had a cheddar bacon burger with garlic aioli and it was delicious. Easiky worth the $16 regukar price but at $8 it was a steal. Atmosphere is nice. Kind of retro 80's dark wood and iridescent mosaic tiles on the walls. The service was a little slow but VERY pleasant. I think it was slow because we went in with a part of 9 on what is usually a very slow night. One person taking care of everyone and they worked their butt off. Drinks are a little pricey but it is happy hour until 7 so at least up until then they were not bad. All in all I will definitely go again.
