Bowditch Point Park

I had no idea what to expect from this park because driving to it it doesn’t look like much and part of it is still closed. But walking into it it is such a lovely little park. When I went in early October 2025 It wasn’t that busy. The park area is really beautiful. I saw some hard-core dragonfly carnage. On the peaches, they were lovely one felt like a super secret area. And then we saw a lot of birds and I saw birds I haven’t seen before like the black skimmer and I genuinely enjoyed walking around this park.

seen dolphins, turtules, BIG iguana, little lizards, hermit crabs, live starfish, sea pork, blue crab claw, tiny crabs, and dolphins showed off to us by the sand. Also beautiful shells when low tide and we dumped my Nana and Papa Fred’s ashes in the water there, very beautiful!

Great place to watch the sunset. There is a free shuttle in Fort Myer beach that will drop you at the park. Bring a picnic.

This is one of our favorite beach destinations. Clean beaches. Not crowded. Convenient parking. Beautiful shells. Nice facilities. They’re still recovering from hurricane damage, but we enjoyed our visit there as we always do.

First time at this beach, quick hour stop after work. $2.35 parking and a 2 minute walk. Dead quiet and pretty calm. Water was almost too warm.

This park is fantastic to get away from the crazy Fort Myers Beach. Very quiet and docile compared to the drunk infested steip of Fort Meyers Beach. It is a great place to bring the whole family and chill for the day.

Beautiful place to catch the sunset. Hard to figure out how to get to the parking lot. Pay to park by phone.
