I dropped off film for development like 3 weeks ago and haven't heard back. I take my stuff to 5R photo lab and they get back to me in days. If you don't have a pipeline for developing film, how the hell are you gonna charge like $300+ for development classes? kind of an easy ball to hit, no?
One of the best! The team is so supportive of new members! I've been stopping by consistently over the last month and always encourage people to stop by as well! If you're looking for a community of people willing to uplift you and meet you with kindness this is the place to be!
This place is trash. I paid A LOT of money for a class package that I was very excited about. When I showed up for my first class (after receiving a confirmation the day before) there was no one there. I called and emailed and got no response. This was a Sunday and I didn't hear back till Tuesday. The owner claimed it was a last minute cancellation and offered to reschedule. I demanded a refund and have not heard back since. It's been two weeks. I have emailed like 7 times. Called. Messaged them in IG (which is updated constantly) and still nothing. They claim to be all about "community and connection" and have me literally begging to be treated with decency. I am livid and will absolutely not let them get away with this but I wanted to warn everyone so they don't have to spend their money and time dealing with these people
This was the worst experience I've ever had with a film lab. They do not pick up the phone or respond to their emails - I sent multiple emails and called about 8 times and never got a response. The scan quality was horrendous on my 120MM Portra film. The color cast was cyan and the images were incredibly inconsistent on the color cast. Along with that all the images were un-usable as they were 2inch x 2inch in dimensions and were pixelated when I zoomed in. They did nothing to fix the issue even when I went in and told them - they said they would get back to me with the manager but never did. Do not go here - I had to go to another film lab to get new scans - $240 for worst quality I've ever seen.
I am sorry to join the chorus of disappointed and frustrated people as the concept is an exciting one. Unfortunately it can be at best considered very poorly run. I submitted a photograph which was to be exhibited in Miami and paid $100 I didn’t hear anything or re piece anything in response Recently I purchased a yashica 127!format Very old but fun. I exposed 3 rolls to test it an my ability before forging ahead Lucia assured me they could process the film I paid $42 and received a post paid mailing label After 6 weeks I have recieved no negatives back. I emailed Lucia and she told me she had no idea what happened Here I am weeks later - no test negatives and out 300!dollars inc. film I am sorry to hear the lab is in difficult financial circumstances but unfortunately I am not surprised and must begin again Somewhere else Good idea - poor execution. Ps called within posted hours - no answer In 1990
Have been developing my film with BCD for years now. They are great!
I didn't use their services. My review is based on my attempts to try and use this place. Emailed, they responded within 12 hours. 3 weeks later decided to pop up because it’s the closet to my house compared to other darkrooms in the area. Checked google maps for the hours of operation. Said 6-9. I show up at 6:21 & they were locking up. Door says hours are 12-6pm. Told me to leave the film for drop off outside. I personally am not a fan of this.
