First time here and I felt SO welcomed! Surprisingly, it was karaoke night and it was SO fun!!! Michael is such a warm welcomer and so great to talk to!

Wanted to love this place but the drinks were genuinely horrible and the atmosphere felt like a bachelor’s pad… not the classy experience I was hoping for. If you like drinks that taste like dollar store rubbing alcohol this is your spot!! My last gripe is the fact that they don’t make lemon drops…. Name one gay bar that can’t make a lemon drop, I will wait! I was recommended this bar by a friend but should have known better considering he only drinks budweiser from a bottle. I got a cosmo and it took everything in me not to projectile vomit, let alone gag from the sheer flavor of cheap rubbing alcohol. Would not recommend.

I’ve been a bartender for more than 20 years much like the man who served me tonight. That being said. This guy is WAY TO SLOW to be serving on a weekend and I can tell he’s beloved but if yall didn’t have him on the weekends you would 10000 percent be busier. He was laughable at his speed and urgency and I’m from out of town. I can’t even imagine what everyone here already things about how pitifully slow the service is here, it made me leave. I don’t understand how you can serve people that long and be that slow. I’m sure his regulars love him but this is the reason that on a Friday there were only 15 people here. Yalll gotta be better. It’s not working, I’m begging you, get some events on Friday and move the slow guy to a different shift. Also it is a bit weird they don’t give you free drinks when you gamble.

My wife and I and one of her friends stopped into this place after bowling one day having no idea that it was a gay bar and I'll have to say it was quite Pleasant play the couple games of pool and have actually gone back. I'm not gay but also not a homophobe kind of like the place bartender was very friendly drinks are reasonable just an all-around good experience

Carl's Saloon is absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere is welcoming, the drinks are perfectly mixed, and the staff treats you like family. It's the best spot in town for a great night out!

Your friendly GAYborhood bar is right... Tuesday & Sunday night Karaoke with Jenny is always a blast! Our bartender Michael had our regular orders memorized within a few weeks. Their bloody mary's have these crazy good pickled green-beans, the house lager is well balanced & their prices are decent. Small town feel in the biggest little city, with themed nights & a great community of frequent fliers.

Awesome chill atmosphere! I love Michael! He’s an awesome conversationalist and he always makes you feel welcome!
