Island Park

This park is relatively large and offers many beautiful views and walking paths. During the summer, you can even kayak here from Argo Park. I love to walk this specific park during the winter because the paths seem to be well taken care of.

UPDATE 11-22-25 🪾🍁🪾🍁 One of the most visited parks near the downtown Ann Arbor area. Running, walking, hiking, playground's for kids and Canoe trips in the summer and early Fall. One of my favorite running parks and a lovely couple of bridges. Try it out

This park is a hidden gem,let me unpack it for you; it have beautiful river for a relaxing kayaking experience or tubing, plenty of picnic tables to sit and eat while enjoying the river view.the river is shallow in most areas and kids could go in walk and collect shells ,my kids loved it beside the playground as well.it a good spot for photo sessions, I've seen so many people coming specifically for the pictures, some of them brought their own equipment and some drove long distances with a professional photographer just for the sake of pictures

Beautiful park. The day I went there were at least 3 big events happening. Huge play structure. Plenty of places to sit. Bathrooms. Free parking. Please bring mosquito spray bc this is a park surrounded by water. Nice walking trails. There is a bridge that leads to an enclosed soccer field. The bridge needs some work. It appears to be pretty old. However, I'm a bit heavier and I could feel the bridge just shaking and making all kinds of noise as I walked across. Great place to chill. Plenty of people walking their dogs. Everyone seemed friendly.

Great little park in the heart of Ann Arbor. Beautiful foliage in the fall with a lot of moving water to view. It's a nice little slice of nature to escape the hustle and hustle of the city. There is a building there that is just described as a shelter. While it's a beautiful building, it seems sort of odd and out of place for the park but maybe there is more history to it than I know.

Park had some fun paths that lead through the wooded area with steep elevation changes at some points. The park did seem a little unkept and there was a shady tent set up near the river that may have possibly belonged to a homeless person…

Beautiful, clean & well maintained park along the river. 2 picnic pavilions. Plenty of benches and picnic tables. Scenic views and walking trails.
