The Austin Eagle

Been going to this eagle since I moved to austin January 2025, I hear its been open for 3 years so its still a baby eagle but its nice that the capital of texas has an eagle bar. Every night something new is happening here they have a calendar of events listed on their website. Some days they have 3+ events happening which is really cool if your a day time person vs night or vise versa. The bar staff is friendly and knowledgeable about cocktails. The other customers are social and easy to talk to if your friendly. Lots of title holders from across the country visit this bar its got a good history and following for only being 3 years old. Keep up the good work.

I come from Virginia where all the bars have to sell food so when I first moved here and noticed the bars downtown sometimes dont sell food as a bear I was hangry lol but I found the eagle and they have a great menu with the most expensive thing being like $15 with exception of the occasional chef special. Recently they were serving a meat loaf dinner and it was outstanding. This place also has some pretty fun parties like glow night and cruise night the djs spin great tracks! Plus I hardly ever see a cover charge here. Parking is limited but atleast its free.

Absolutely love this place, the vibes are chill and the moment you walk in you can see it’s a good place for any and all to come out and hang. The food is immaculate (especially the brunch), the service is friendly and the drinks are perfect. If you wanna get out of the hustle and bustle of inside then there is a super comfy and spacious patio outside with easy access to the Bootblack stand. A wonderful place for community an a pillar of Austin’s leather community.

My husband & I went there to see Cynthia Lee Fontaine (La Cucu) during Sunday Brunch. Walking in we were greeted by a very friendly person at the door. We found our table, and got to ordering our food and drinks. Had the Monte Cristo, the Benny Bowel, and took a BBQ plate to go. We also ordered 2 passion fruit mocktails. The show was AMAZING & the food and drinks were DELICIOUS. Great atmosphere, & affordable prices. I would highly recommend The Austin Eagle.

This is a great bar with amazing staff. It’s not always anyone’s cups of tea but it does have a bit of everything. Whether ur a pup, kinkster, cub, chub, chaser, or whatever ur into, this place will most likely suit ur tastes. There’s regular events happening throughout each month such as karaoke, gear nights, red/white nights and others. Come out and see what’s up

It's more of a drag restaurant with the eagle name that occasionally caters to the leather, bears, pups, etc, communities. They have nights for such events but in a strip mall with bright lighting going in underwear or a jock or less is unsafe and risky. If you want an eagle bar experience go to Dallas, Oklahoma, or Denver. This is just a gay restaurant. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The management and staff at the Eagle are AWESOME! They treat everyone with respect and dignity as well as catering to some of the best groups in the Austin area. Such as The United Court of Austin, BOOP, Gears and many more! ALL ARE WELCOME!
