Berkeley Marine Canvas

A++ experience with Berkeley Marine Canvas for my custom dodger installation. Lowell communicated clearly throughout the project, showed up exactly on time every appointment, and worked closely with me to design the perfect solution for my Columbia 10.7. The installation was brilliant - clean, professional work that looks factory-perfect. After a year of use, this dodger has completely transformed my sailing experience. The handrails have made boarding and moving around the boat much safer for crew of all ages, and I'm now comfortable sailing in heavy weather that used to keep me at the dock. Great craftsmanship, reliable service, and excellent communication. Highly recommend!

It would be literally impossible to overstate how satisfied I am with the dodger Lowell made for my boat and my overall experience with Berkeley Marine Canvas. I had major time and budget constraints and Lowell found a way to construct a beautiful and incredibly useful dodger under budget and ahead of schedule (something that almost never happens in the marine industry). I just sailed from Berkeley to Honolulu and the dodger performed beautifully. To boot, Lowell and Apo are some of the kindest and most pleasant people one can expect to encounter. Lowell's can-do attitude was both impressive and inspiring. Absolutely a 5-star experience.

Berkeley Marine Canvas might be a relatively new shop, but Lowell and Apo are truly professional craftspeople who have spent a lot of time under the tutelage of some master canvas makers. They created a stellar 3/4 cover for my classic wooden boat which has already paid for itself by keeping the brightwork protected and cockpit dry during an especially wet winter season. Their attention to detail was unmatched, and their expertise guided every decision - from the fabric choice to making informed choices that reflect my preferred fender and dockline arrangements. The whole experience was wonderful and their level of project management skills are impeccable. Case in point: even though I ended up interfacing mostly via email while working on a boat in Alaska, I felt like the project was in good hands and came home to a perfectly installed cover. The bay is lucky to have another canvas shop run by caring, genuine, and unpretentious mariners who are clearly interested in putting quality work on boats, not just squeezing owners for a buck. They are the real deal and a pleasure to work with!

Wanted to give a shout out to Berkeley Marine Canvas for going above and beyond in both customer service and the quality of their product. Both Lowell and Apo are great people and have a tremendous pride in how they conduct themselves and the product they provide, which is of great quality. Hope to work with them again on future boat projects, but for now am enjoying our new dodger and wheel cover.

So great that Lowell and Apo have the canvas shop at BMC. They made me a really nice stack pack for my 40 foot Norseman. It has all the features needed for Ocean cruising and is Incredibly strong.
