We did the whale watching tour that operates with the aquarium. And let me tell you it was worth it. All of these videos are different moments (even if they look similar). We were nearby 2 whales the entire time and they were very active. We didn’t see any others but I have no complaints about that. The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the whales and were just as excited as the rest of us to see the whales.
Great whale watching tour. Very interesting and informative. Dress warm and enjoy a long wonderful boat ride (40 miles, 1.5 hours) one way, then about an hour of watching whales (we saw 3) and then return back. I highly recommend this experience!
We had a beautiful day for this 1.5-hour Boston Harbor Cruise providing waterfront views of the skyline and notable sights. The ship has both inside and outside deck space, restrooms, and a bar. We had rail side seating. The harbor cruise is a great way to see Boston.
We took the 1 hr historical harbor tour with our college student and had a great time. Our tour guide Kevin ("wearing the fashionable purple glasses and khaki kilt") had a great theatrical voice and was very knowledgeable about sites both the more well-known and the unusual ("Boston molasses-a-cre"). Highly recommend.
This is the second time I've tried to go on this cruise, and the second time I've not seen whales! LOL, last year we received a 7-year voucher; this year it was only a 2-year voucher. Other than the lack of seeing whales, it was a fun trip and I got to chat with some other random tourists. I'm hoping my next adventure to Boston I'll have success in seeing some whales! We did see a few dolphins/porpoises....but better luck next time. Lastly, Amanda, the woman who came around and shared information about the whales was amazing. She answered all our questions and did a great job informing us about the whales we could have seen.
This has been one of my favorite activities to do in Boston! As I love animals. The journey takes about 4 hrs, as you are make your way to see the whales you get to see beautiful scenery, leaving behind the city skyline and start seeing little islands with old lighthouses! The whales wow so beautiful (remember this isnt SeaWorld this is a real raw experience) I would recommend taking dramamine !
Great way to tour Boston and learn a little bit of history while giving your legs a break from all that walking. The guide was very informative and entertaining. The boarding site is located in a central area so when you get off the boat, you can do a lot more sightseeing and enjoy one of the many restaurants right there.
