We had a wonderful afternoon with Old South Carriage Company and couldn’t recommend it more. Our horse, Roger, absolutely stole the show with his fantastic and sassy personality. He even neighed a few times right on cue with our guide’s stories, which made the experience even more charming and memorable. Our tour guide, Wendy, was exceptional. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Charleston’s rich history, culture, and the family stories that bring the city to life. Her storytelling gave us a true feel for both old and nouveau Charleston. From the cobblestone streets to Broad Street and iconic Rainbow Row, we gained wonderful insights into the city’s past and present. This tour is the perfect blend of fun and education and is a fantastic way to understand the ins and outs of Charleston then and now. Highly recommend for first time visitors and history lovers alike.

Winston, the horse, was a hoot. He knows the way and got antsy if we stopped long anywhere. John, the driver, was funny and handled him well. He was knowledgeable but we did stump him with a couple of questions. He was snarky in a funny way. The tour was interesting and covered quite a bit of history. It allows one to pick an area and go investigate it closer. We took a walking historical tour afterward and that was far more in depth. If you park in the closest city parking lot, it will be a five minute walk and it will cost one tenth of what it costs to park in the private lot near the carriage houses.

We had a wonderful carriage ride with Cooper! Our tour guide was very informative and happy to answer questions. Many beautiful sites were seen. The carriage ride was comfortable. Easy to find location with no problem finding close parking for a 10am tour. Highly recommend.

Absolutely a "must do" when you come to Charleston! We did the nighttime ghost tour and it was so awesome! We had 7 of our family members and it was some of the most amazing and interesting stories about Charleston that I have heard. Our guide was wonderful and so funny and Mason, our horse, was an absolute angel! Such a good boy. This is a must!

We have used Old South Carriage Co. during multiple trips to Charleston. We changed it up and did the night haunted carriage tour. Mason was a champ. Well behaved and was a pro on his route. Holly was amazing. Had great stories to share. We got to see a whole other side of Charleston.

We absolutely loved the carriage ghost tour! Our tour guide, Dawn, was amazing, and the beautiful horse named Prince made the experience even more special. It was thrilling to listen to the spooky stories and see the actual places where they happened. The tour was both educational and highly entertaining. Prince was so gentle and stunning. It's clear that all the horses are well cared for and healthy. Highly recommended! Don’t miss it if you haven’t tried it yet!

Holly and Aiken are a wonderful pair. They communicate well with each other and the pace and story telling is great. We did the haunted ghost tour at 6 pm. The sunset was amazing and the historical buildings are beautiful. They are both deserving for employees of the month! PS: on these cold evenings bring a blanket.
