Iowa Women of Achievement Bridge

8.18.25 my 1st time in IA and as I was strolling on the Riverwalk I came across this beautiful pedestrian bridge. The area was very clean. Not too many people. The views from the bridge are spectacular. A lovely way to explore the area.

This is such an iconic location in downtown Des Moines. It is beautiful and monumental. It is perfect for all occasions and we always bring guest from out of town here all year round. It’s such a neat setting and the views are spectacular.

Very nice bridge with skate park next to it. Great place to relax and enjoy the day. Great views of the Capital and Wells Fargo Arena. Lived it! Cone enjoy and bring the family

This is a must visit in Des Moines! Great views of the city, & a good exercise! A+

Definitely a cool bridge to walk during night time as it has numerous colored lights throughout it. It helps connect both sides of the Riverwalk park. I think it is cool they also honor the contributions of historic Iowa women with this bridge. Glad we had time to walk it and visit the area when we were in Des Moines recently!

Beautiful little bridge over the river with a gorgeous river walk path that leads to a skate park one way or the botanical gardens the other.

Very cool bridge, and lit up beautifully at night. DO NOT PARK in front of the condos on the end opposite of the sports arena. We didn't notice the no parking sign, and returned from an 8 minute stroll to find our vehicle already loaded on a tow truck. Expensive lesson, and a miraculously quick turnaround for the towing company. Must be a resident who makes it a hobby to snitch on unsuspecting tourists?
