It's a beautiful park, however, there seems to be a group of people who loiter here leaving trash and debris everywhere. I come here to be close to nature and enjoy the river but don't leave my vehicle since there's a parking lot full of people parked side by side doing who knows what all day long.
Please don't come to this park if your taking your kids to the playground or to do sum in this park is very dirty with trash, glass and disturbing items on the ground. And for the restroom, well its a restroom but not the best and woman restroom is locked up for some reason and also heard a man moaning in the restroom There are lots of other parks that are more cleen and safer than this one
Restroom at prospect park is now fully functioning as should be. Thanks to the "city of Des Moines" for this transition. Restroom and park in good condition... The river is getting back in action again with boats and jet skis... Beautiful
