El Monte Trolley Station Office

I like taking the trolley because the buses are always clean and the AC is on and good music. Restrooms are always clean wish I could say the same about the Monte bus station there restrooms always filthy and their elevator smells like you're in a fish market and always homeless people sleeping there and even in the elevators they also get mad when you're taking the elevators they sleep on the wet floor I think it's urine it's very filthy in there elevators I give the trolley bus station a better score than the El Monte station.

It's a neat little local station that gets you to places around El Monte! All for only 50 cents per ride! The woman at the information office was very kind to me when I asked for further information on the stops the buses made (I was confused that the bus stopped more often than the schedule indicated) but she set me straight and now I understand how it works! The only reason I took off a star was because the office only accepts cash to purchase trolley tokens! It's 2018 and nearly everyone owns a card! It would be very convenient if I could purchase riding tokens with a debit card at least!

Very clean and accessible. Have used the trolley system for years and still no problems. My only complaint is that the buses don't always go by the schedule. I arrived at a stop 10 mins early but apparently it had already passed so I had to wait for the next bus which took about an hour.

Trolleys begin at 6am, cycle every 40 minutes, the last trip is at 6:40 pm; they leave on the dot unless they're late. Exact times at certain stops always vary with traffic, but +/- 5mins avg.. The drivers are great. Station always neat. Restrooms available. Can buy tokens in packs at the desk, hopefully one day they can be bought a few at a time for concenience rather than the 5 or 10$ packs. Offer various rides to parks or beaches every summer; they'll have plenty of flyers around. Fare is 0.50

El Monte Trolley station is very clean and so are it's buses. You can buy bags of tokens for the trolleys at their information booth. They sell $10 and $20 bags. Regular fare for the trolley is 50 cents. Schedules for each trolley as well as the flair shuttle are available for free here. The flair shuttle leaves from the Metrolink station adjacent to the ticketing machines. The El Monte trolley station has public restrooms, picnic tables, vending machines and a sheltered waiting area with plenty of seating. It is also close to the Metro 76 and 268 bus lines. Added note: It is a 2 block walk to Superior supermarket from the station and a 2 block walk in the opposite direction to the 99 cent store.

Very good ride very safe very friendly good way to travel around El Monte they have four different routes or five or six I am not sure but they are all good routes they also carry schedules with them should you need one
