Maplecroft

The house is huge. Great work by the builders, and that "Maplecroft" on the top stair is great. The owners have taken great care in keeping up with the property, which can not be easy with a home over 100 years old. ☆☆☆☆THIS IS A PRIVATE RESIDENCE, SO PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL. ☆☆☆☆ let's show the present owners what great followers Lizabeth has be being awesome humans and leave the public sidewalk cleaner then when you walked down that street and look at the giant yellow house. ✌️

Went here after visiting the Lizzie Borden House. This is the house that Lizzie had lived in after the murders. It's a quiet neighborhood and seemed very peaceful. We took a few photos then went to pay our respects at the cemetery.

Beautiful beloved home of Lizbeth. You can feel the comfort & 'haven' that it must have been for her ... Loved the visit! The hosts (owners/employees of the Lizzie Borden B&B) were gracious, knowledgeable and accommodating! So happy I got to see it before it gets sold!

Maplecroft is a truly stunning home! I can understand why Lisbeth wanted to live there so badly! I really wish that I could’ve seen the interior but even the exterior is absolutely gorgeous! I will admit; I was tempted to peek in some windows but I didn’t want to trespass and be disrespectful. Plus, they have security cameras 🤣 I’m hoping to one day be able to see the entire house because I grew up being very fascinated with the Borden family murders.

Lizbeth Borden lived her ENTIRE life in Fall River, living another 35 years in a community that rejected her, even though she was INNOCENT. Contrary to popular belief, Andrew Borden had MANY enemies, including an illegitimate SON with the maid of a family friend that he denied being the father of, even though it was later PROVEN that he was. Andrew Borden WASN'T the carefree, loving man people want to believe he was; he was a deceitful, womanizing, abusive cutthroat, and he had enemies. He had affairs with women, he was abusive both physically and sexually to his daughters AND wife, and it was rumored that he once impregnated ANOTHER former maid.

Maplecroft is a very beautiful home with everything you would hope to see. Chandeliers, richly carved woodwork and beautiful wallpaper are just a few of the houses great charm.

Stunningly beautiful house ! I’m so happy we finally had a chance to see it,in person,but sad it’s closed
