CDOT Rest Area: Poudre

This is my safe haven. I've stayed overnight many nights in my truck up where the big rigs park and never been bothered with anything, not once. There are plenty of clean bathroom stalls and there are separate men/ women/ family restrooms with working sinks, soap, hand driers, and a working water fountain. It's warm inside the building where the restrooms are located if you need to warm up for a bit. There is shorter term parking near the retrooms too. There's also a really beautiful view, especially this time of year of the snowy mountains when the sun sets to the west, and it's worth waking up early to catch glimpses of the gorgeous sunrise to the east each morning too! Just breathtaking! Oh and there are picnic tables and a very nice trail for leisurely walks, or for exercise for you and your furry friends if you have them! There are also several large trash canisters posted all over the grounds so that it's convenient and easy to clean up after yourself (and your furry friends)!

Signs say max 2 hours parking, signs say Colorado welcome center; but building closed. Probably for ever.

This is a miserable, filthy rest area. I gave it one star only because you can actually rest there but I wouldn't stop at night. It is not easily accessible from the highway. There are no vending machines or any other amenities. The sinks did have running water when I was there. The urinals in the men's room did not flush and I didn't even look at the toilets, I was too scared. Next door is a large visitor center that appears to be abandoned and no longer in use. Colorado should be ashamed if that's the best they can offer to travelers and tourists.

We found a good place to rest overnight with our RV after hours of driving. Clean restrooms and enough parking lot space. We don't have pets but there are areas to walk dogs. There are picnic areas too.

If I could leave 0 stars rating I would. Filthy rest area and hand dryers don't work - no paper towels. Wanted to go to the Welcome Center - primary reason for stopping, It's not open. TAKE DOWN THE SIGNS if you aren't going to open the Welcome Center. Truckers must like it because many were stopped. Worst rest area/welcome center ever been to.

Human excrement everywhere and a homeless guy rubbing his Johnson while following my wife and I as we walked out of the building. Disgusting place. Recommend literally any other place to stop.

Just ok. Needs better signage since if going north on 25 the blue sign was right at the turn off with no prior warning and had to go over the bridge and turn on the rest area road before you saw another sign showing you where it actually was. Truck/RV area was also very far away from the buildings and you had to walk on the road or through the dirt area with prickly bushy grass to get to the bathroom.
