Fossil Creek Reservoir

This is a beautiful place to see many birds in their natural habitat from sheltered and undercover areas, but the trail is very short. Free car parking with toilets. The only thing that spoiled it for me was the planes going overhead every few minutes.

We stopped here for quick bathroom break and picnic on the way home. Lovely reservoir and views all around. Too bad there is not much in the way of shade trees, but a nice stop!

We were in town for business and had just had a great dinner... the storms had passed, and we were looking for a place to see the sunset. This was it! Go visit, day or night. Nice trails and a beautiful view.

Nice place, hiking paths and shelters. Worth checking out.

You really can take pictures anywhere! Also I love this place, especially since Dan can't fish here. Don't screw it, please.

We recently visited Fossil Ridge Reservoir for stargazing with the Northern Colorado Astronomical Society. What a beautiful, serene place! This is one of Fort Collins' Natural Areas, which have a mission of conserving natural areas while providing public recreation. It is clear online that biking, boating, fishing, and pets are not allowed so that this area can stay preserved. They also have incredible eagle watches here!

Bald eagles and many other birds are here. No dogs allowed which is fantastic for the environment 👏 😀 👍 👌 So come here and relax and enjoy the quiet time outdoors with no distractions.
