Great park near Riverwalk downtown with beautiful water views. Many restaurants within walking distance as well as the Museum of Discovery and Science, and the Broward center for the performing arts. There is always some festival or event going on here hosting many vendors, music, and many activities to do, refreshing drinks and yummy food. Parking is not free. No matter where you park you have to pay here, with street parking usually being the cheapest at around $3 an hour, but the hardest to find too.
Came here yesterday for the first annual Pizza Festival and it was a blast. I got the VIP ticket ($70 per person) but it was so worth it. You get to be in the VIP tent, there are appetizers served,an open bar, and unlimited pizza. All the pizza is made fresh in front of you hot and fresh. This was such a great experience especially because pizza is my favorite food. I mean I has pizza I never thought of even having before like pizza with pistachios. They even had a Dubai Chocolate Pizza. Overall this festival was amazing and I can’t wait to go back next year.
This review is for the Vegan Block Party that happened on the 4th of July of July weekend, not the park itself: Positives: - If you're into vegan cuisine, you'll find a lot of good and different options to eat. - Large and convenient parking right across the street. -Police assigned to the event is around to ensure overall safety. -They have real restrooms instead of those portable ones. Negatives: - Very loud music making it very difficult to hold a conversation. -The park that they choose is very small for this type of event. Making it difficult to move, sit down, and not bump into people (we left early because of this one). -Some vendor prices are reasonable, but others are ridiculously expensive. -The parking, although convenient, charge a premium for the event. Overall, I wouldn't go back unless they change to a location for a bigger park next year.
Great park, amazing scenery. It's off the intercoastal, great place. It's also surrounded by bars restaurants and plenty of sight seeing.
We were here just before a concert. How pretty it is. Benches within, and throughout to sit and watch the water. Pretty lights came on, as it was getting dark. I would come back with a coffee and my Kindle.
What's not to like? It's a small, intimate park right on the river in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. If we were to get sentimental, one could say it has a mini New Orleans vibe. Funny thing about Ft. Lauderdale is you can walk around with open containers of beer. Like walk in a bar, walk out with your beer, and walk around. Florida!?
🌳 💦 🌿 Nestled along the New River in downtown Fort Lauderdale, this urban park serves as a true gathering place for the South Florida community. Adjacent to the iconic Museum of Discovery and Science, with the towering Great Gravity Clock looking on, Esplanade Park provides the perfect setting for memorable events and celebrations.I've had the pleasure of attending exciting community events and fundraisers here, including Kids in Distress' Annual Duck Fest, and each time, the park has proven to be a lively and engaging space for all.
