Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center is a very large facility, but size does not automatically translate to quality, consistency, or effective coordination. The operation is highly fragmented. This makes it challenging for owners, captains, or contractors to predict timelines, expectations, or results without constant follow-up. The environment is fast-paced, but not always efficiently managed. For a facility handling high-value assets and complex projects, the lack of cohesion and operational clarity is disappointing. Anyone considering this yard should be prepared to stay closely involved, document everything, and actively manage their own interests rather than assuming processes will function smoothly on their own.

I am an old guy. Been in to many shipyards over the years as a Captain to remember. This place Safe harbor , Lauderdale Marine Center is the best by far!!!. Not only did we get out of there on time it was the exact amount of the estimate!!! Tell me when that has happened to you. Carol my handler was on spot super helpful and friendly. Go it done . The receptionist at the front desk ( She runs the place lol) Sara. Always has a smile and is so sweet and kind. It was a long hot summer , i was there 3 months , this place is just awesome. I truthfully cant think of one thing wrong. At a shipyard , this never happens. But it did this summer. Have no fear , this place is special!!!

The food is great our server Julissa was amazing, she tried her best to make us feel good, but some of the staff was very rude. No customer oriented staff, not for the seating, the cleaning of the table and the setting up. We had a reservation and our table was not ready. I do not know what was going on with the other staff, but they should stay at home if they do not know how to service a customer. If you go, ask for Julissa, she is great.

Beautiful marina but that old lady in the security check in/ Gate is always in a miserable mood. greets you with a bad attitude as if it’s a burden I’m there. She doesn’t match the professionalism this place has. Very bad look
